So not official. Plenty of time for Michigan to make their offer.

I didn’t say he wouldn’t stay, but to say Michigan can’t get into a bidding war with Alabama is silly. Michigan is as wealthy an athletic dept as anywhere

Yes, Michigan could buy Alabama 5 times over.

That wasn’t Greene, that was Jay jacobs

Jay Jacobs hired him, but Allen Greene definitely got him to stay when the Louisville rumors were running rampant in the media a couple years ago. Auburn, and Greene put a contract for 8 years and over $40MM that was enough to make him stay.

Have they broken ground on the new arena?

No but I can tell you what I've been told from the inside. The announcement will come this late summer/ early fall, it will be built on the current site of the band practice field, it will hold about 10K capacity . down from the 15K Coleman, It will be two tiered seating as to bring all seats closer to the floor and a 2200 seat student section will wrap 3/4 of the way around the court. all but 1/4 of the seats at floor level will be student seating only. Coleman will not be torn down and will be used as a training center for "olympic" sports.

Don’t think there is near enough room at the band practice field. You sure it’s not over by Bryce?

Yeah I’d heard they were working on a site on the old Bryce property closer to the river / Jack Warner Parkway.

Hate to break it to you bruh, but Michigan has more money that bammer, AU, and both MS schools combined. Welcome to the new money era of college sports. If they want him, they'll take him.

The only decent thing Allen Greene did in his tenure as Auburn's AD was open up the checkbook for Bruce. IDK what Oats makes now, but Bama would be wise to match any offers.

That's good advice, and it looks like that's exactly what Alabama did.

better location than what I heard they were looking at. At 10k, Bama fans are going to get to experience stupid high ticket prices like at AU.

much needed to get the blue hairs that sit on their hands off the floor

I’m sure it will be great once it eventually happens
