How is that possible? They have like 8 fans at their games.....

I've been to:

Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss St, Florida, TAMU, Vandy, and Tenn.

I have had a great time at almost every away game except one time at Ole Miss and one both times at Florida.

Will not go back to Florida what a horrible place.(Not so much the stadium but the fans are horrible) Ole Miss fans I guess I just don't understand them and had a few issues in the past but would go back.

I will NOT go to Arkansas! They can have that place and I have enough of their fan base when they come to LSU...

Actually Alabama and Auburn were the best road trips. I've been to Auburn 4-5 times and always have been treated great. BAMA fans were fun as well.

As far as LSU, I have seen both sides of the fan base. I had a good friend from Auburn come to games with me a few times and have seen LSU fans acting an arse to him, but also have seen them inviting him to their tailgate parties and enjoying the visiting fans as well. I guess there are ahole fans at all schools.

Ive been to away games at about eight schools including 5 SEC (Fla, UGA, LSU, bama and SC). Had a good time at all of them and would go back everywhere except west va.

Lsu fans talked the most trash but their bad reputation is exaggerated. Great tailgating there. Food was awesome.

Sc fans were friendly. I don't like the way the stadium is off campus.

Fla, UGA and bama all had some nice fans and a few jerks.

Id like to eventually hit all of them. Ole Miss or Arkansas is b prob next.

No school has a monopoly on drunk, obnoxious students. It's the same wherever you go. Other than that, almost all the SEC schools are great to visit for a football game. I have not been to Fla, but the group I tailgate with in Jax is a very mixed crowd and lots of fun.

I would rate Ole Miss as the most over hyped experience I have had, but they do have an exceptionally good band.

Tiger Stadium last season and in 2013.

What was the experience like and dealing with the opposing fans?

Other than being "Tiger Baited" every 5 seconds...and being asked how a Florida fan was walking around with an LSU fan for a wife, I had a damn blast. Gonna try and go again in 2017.

Went to Colorado, kansas, Texas, back in the Big 12 days. Boulder is cool and a very nice stadium but the fans don't really seem to care. kansas just sucks in every way imaginable. Worst stadium I've ever been inside.

Texas is a bit overrated. Big stadium but had a way better time in College Station in 2014. Better stadium and fans by far.

I've been to Vandy, Tennesee, A&M, Georgia and Arky since joining the SEC and had a great time at all those locations except Arkansas (no one had a good time that day, it was freezing and raining this past November). Looking forward to LSU this year.

I've been to Gainesville, Knoxville, Columbia. In a lot of ways, I enjoy road games more.

Have been to: Arkansas (little rock), Bama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, and a few SEC Championship games.

Overall all the fans in the SEC were pretty chill, sure each had some asshats, but that is not the norm.

Will say this, while Florida fans were cool, Gainsville PD is not...they were issuing tickets for drinking "off the sidewalk" in 2006. The cop told a group we were passing that they can drink on the sidewalks, but if they stepped into the grass it was school property and illegal to drink on. I don't know if thats true or if that cop was just making some money on drunk LSU fans

wait..what do you mean "attacked" you? Random fan fights, ok that seems normal. But how would a fan attack the band?

I love em, I almost wish every game was an away game. It is DEFINITELY a different fanbase that goes to the road games compared to the homes.

I went to ASU in '08.

I've said it for 8 yeras and still stand by it...that is a myth that has gotten overhyped and played up the more people keep repeating what they read in magazines like athlon.

ASU's talent was no different than any other college football game. Sure they had 10s walking around, just like any college. And in fact, I would put most SEC schools I've been to ahead of ASU simply due to quantity. ASU's A-team would stack up as equals with any other college out there, but when you talk about depth they don't hold a candle to the south. That's a fact.
