I've lost absolutely no desire to go to football games over the last 30 days because of this stuff. None at all. Literally hasn't changed the way I plan to enjoy going to games or watching them one bit.

We are just getting started. Let's talk again in August.

I enjoy watching and attending college football games. None of this stuff is going to affect that.

St Paul’s or UMS? It’s an honor to post on the same board with southern aristocracy like you Omega Man! Be sure and tip the Black guy when he brings you your mint julep at the Mobile Country Club. Yes it’s only low class whites that love ncaa football and our meager blue collar wages are sufficient enough to sustain a multi billion dollar operation. You will be humbled OP trust me on that. All the proud will be humbled.

Athletic specific donations will suffer because of this. Not many want to fund the next Kaepernick. His conduct and the conduct of current athletes comes off as very unappreciative of the opportunity to represent an University and get a quality education at the same time. Donors have been basically funding the NFL minor league and are waking up.

Black athletes and the NFL are literally biting the hands that feed them, IMO.

Have you bumped yo Em effin' head?

At your school Bama, 100 Athletes in FB & MBB Gross upwards of $150MM each year from all their sources of Revenue, of those 100 Athletes mentioned above, roughly 70-75% are Black

When that small of a group are generating that much MONEY no one is biting the hand that feeds them, in fact they are literally paying the freight for the entire Athl Dept, so whatever they get, what little they get, those Athletes generate 25X what they get from Bama

Can you say the same for the non Revenue welfare Sports?

While you challenge the Black Athlete to not bite the hand that feeds him, WHEN do you challenge those T9 Sports & non Revenue Sports to get off WELFARE and generate their own money?

When the eff do you ask them to support themselves to at least a break-even level?

I'll answer, YOU NEVER DO!!

Guys like you are quick to tell Blacks to do this or that, but real slow to say anything to majority white athletes in non Revenue Sports that are producing far less

Fairly good deduction Watson. Obviously you have taken a keen enough interest in my posts to notice details such as my reference to Boethius which would point to an intricate knowledge of the early Catholic Church and my reference to an equipment manager for LSU, however you missed out on several clues which if noticed would have plainly revealed that I attended SPS.

Read an article last year, NCAA Football core fans have the 4th most disposable income of the all sports. Trailing only the NHL, PGA, and MLB.

Here's the thing.
College football is not played by "wealthier whites".

It's perfectly fine for them to support and watch it, but if they're going to get this bent out of shape over the opinions of those who actually play the game, then it's just not for them.

College football exists because of the players. We as fans should not lose sight of that.

The thing is...it’s not for the players. It’s for the fans...it’s a cultural institution that really doesn’t have anything to do with the game on the field. The reason the game exists is because of the players 100 years ago...and the reason it’s big today is because of the players 50, 40, 30 years ago. If anything...the outspoken players today are destroying this long proud tradition.

College football loses its value without the fans and donors.

Football itself is only alive because of the current crop of players.
It would have died with the concussion controversies if it weren't for the current athletes getting better and better.
