I think both teams have fed off the disrespect they've received coming into the league and the fact that they go into each game with nothing to lose. They're playing fricking pissed off and I don't blame them.
Not to take anything away from them as teams. But if they're still running rough shod over the SEC the next 5 years then its safe to say that Big-12 fans have been right about those spread Os against SEC Ds.

Clearly we struck gold with JFF. And the rest of y'all are probably right that we'd be .500 this year without him. But we're also convinced that we've struck gold with Coach Sumlin. Time will tell if we can keep him. Not surprised at all with Missouri's performance. They've been a tough, solid team for quite awhile. The funny thing has been listening over the past few years to A&M fans saying they just can't get excited about playing them, while, with the exception of last year's injury-plagued team, they'd been beating the dog snot out of us. Pretty amazing.

On the other hand, A&M had done nothing to earn any respect coming into the league. The last truly legitimate football team we'd had was 1998, and that team lost 3 games.

Yes, some SEC fans are delusional.
I still think SEC has proven to be be best FB conference in last decade due the number of different teams having won the NC.
The whole west better than east is a farce. Which ever side had Bama trumps the other. (Saban years)
On the whole, SEC is noticed due the number of very good teams.
