A win in the bowl will leave Alabama at 10-3. The (...) kind of implies that. As in Auburn's 2010 season (12-0...).

Unbiased opinion?

I think Newton is a flash in the pan for Chizik.

Long term prospects...I think Bama is in better shape with Saban than Auburn is with Chizik.

I think the nature of the SEC now is that no one program will dominate like Florida in the 90s, or Bama in the 70s. But there are great programs that will collectively dominate...Florida, LSU, Bama, Auburn over the last couple of years. Tennessee and Georgia were in the mix when Bama wasn't, but now seem to have tapered. Arkansas on the rise...maybe they will replace LSU or Auburn in the future as that "great program" that will win SEC titles.

Ebb and flow, ebb and flow.

Bama is at the top when it comes to top to bottom talent, Auburn needs another very solid recruiting class to get to where we need and even then another to catch where Bama is at.

Is Alabama not in the running for third consecutive ten win season? Are ten win seasons not how programs are judged, sans titles?

Chizik has been undefeated 3 of the last 7 years. Does Saban have more than 1 in his career??

so winning the bowl game is a foregone conclusions?

Like your repeat national title this year and your iron bowl victory?

For serious, UAT has much more talent in the two deep than AU. The talent will pretty even during the 2012 season though.

The West? The Iron Bowl?

I'm just not sure of your point.

Is Auburn winning the SEC title a forgone conclusion? Or anything beyond that? I think I left an open ended conclusion on both Alabama and Auburn in my initial post.

A SEC title. A national title.

What? Wasn't he 5-19 at Iowa State and like 8-5 last year at Auburn?
