Has Any SEC School Had a More Disappointing Year?

Than our friends on the bayou?
Football: preseason #9. Finished unranked, 7-6, topped it with a loss to Houston and the ugliest head coaching transition in history. They could do nothing but scream at the sky as they watched Tulane, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas A&M all make the CFP.
Men’s Basketball: there weren’t many expectations. But they still failed to meet them. Finished dead last. We got to watch another ugly coaching transistion. The NCAA is crafting a Will Wade Rule as we speak.
Women’s Basketball: preseason #5. Could not advance past sweet sixteen. Rumblings from fans questioning if Mulkey was washed up. Rumors of Mulkey resigning.
Baseball: Preseason #2. Finished 14th in the SEC. Failed to make NCAA tournament. Books could be written about the psychological damage the season inflicted on some LSU fans. Zach Yorke was amazing though.
When is the last time a SEC athletic program underperformed so badly? It was certainly a historically bad season.

It really is shocking when you consider the amount of money and fan support, that an athletic program can utterly and completely collapse to this degree. As you stated, every single major program finished at or near dead last in a conference of 16 teams. It would be very difficult to find a comparison in the private sector.

Would love to know what the total amount of money spent with no return was for this year amongst the 5 main sports. Coaches contracts, NIL contracts, and teams they paid to beat them.

To be fair, you could make this any day and it'd still be true.
But dang it, he showed us.

You are just rubbing salt in the wound at this point.
And several participants in this forum deserve every ounce of it.

That would be fun to see.
LSU spent nearly $200 million on football when it was all said and done. So each win only cost around $25 million dollars. What a bargain.

Some trolls are at least good at being trolls.
Not much worse than being terrible at being a troll.

More or less marveling at the incompetency. Similar to the morbid instinctual act of slowing down to look at a car wreck despite knowing I will see nothing but destruction.

You can frame the obsession however you like but it’s still pathetic.

Meanwhile, Bama fans get s*** on bc LSU fans longed and lusted for the day of tGoat’s retirement, and even in this BS era of CFB, Bama still won 11 games, made it to Atlanta, made the Playoffs, beat OU in the playoffs and lost in the Rose Bowl, along with having compiled a very strong roster moving forward.
That is literally all of the “Lulz” you guys got to experience at Bama’s “demise”. Every LSU fan deep down was longing for a return to the Shula days and were very certain it was inevitable. It makes watching your entire athletic department implode to the very depths of hell that much more enjoyable.

Looking at a car wreck is one thing.
Making your entire identity about looking at car wrecks is mental illness though.
