Georgia has lost three times to Alabama since December of 2023 - once as #1 going for a three peat, once as top five in Tuscaloosa, and again in Athens while riding a 30+ game home winning streak.

Averaging 28 yards rushing over 3 games is plenty in the Big12 and the SWC….it’ll get you embarrassed in the SEC
lol this is really more of a Georgia specific stat. And hats off to them, but rushing in 2025 is more reflective of Texas shortcomings this season than anything else

Texas had the SEC’s leading rusher last year

If Texas stays in the SEC for 25 seasons they will have losing records, close to double digit losing records, to Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Florida and Georgia
Eh… disagree. But I get how it’s easy to make these blanket statements in year 2 knowing you won’t be held accountable in year 25

Padding winning % against Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State is what ALL SEC schools do
considering these teams have notched wins, multiple in some cases, against big 6 teams since Texas has joined kinda defeats this point tbh

historically Texas has never played that caliber of football week in and week out.
historically Texas has a .500 or better record against every team in the fabled big 6

And y’all say our fanbase acts arrogant

Texas actually has an excellent winning % against the Big6 in the SEC. Almost all of those games have been bowl games in seasons where Texas had one game against a team with a pulse and the Big 6 had all played one another. Thats not insignificant. Playing physical teams every week and not Kansas and Baylor tends to cause injuries and injuries matter during bowl season. Had Texas played Alabama 40 times in the last 80 years after being beat on by Tennessee and Auburn and UGA it’s doubtful Texas has a winning record against Alabama. Playing Kansas and Texas Tech week in and week out is akin to playing Coastal Carolina week in and week out. But we will see…Texas has not looked SEC ready against a good but not elite UGA team 3 times in 13 months and lost to a VERY bad Florida team. I’d posit that is what Texas will be in the SEC going forward

Yawn. Acting like the big 6 in the sec are overlords every year is silly. There were plenty of years Texas had high quality non conference games and conference games before they ever played any sec teams in bowl games

I respect those six teams for being premier programs, but pretending every other team in college football is like playing high schools in comparison is either childish or willfully ignorant

Their lack of self awareness is staggering.

Will be a while before Texas is 1-11 in their last 12 vs Georgia too

That is not the point at all. Historically the teams that Texas played regularly throughout their history have not been good programs. Of course they had years when they were good but they do not have the history that the Big 6 in the SEC have and those 6 played one another when Texas was playing Texas Tech and Houston.

Historically the 10 teams Texas has played the most are ranked at #48 in all time wins. In UGAs case that number is #37. Its #37 for Alabama, around the same for Tennessee, Auburn, Florida and LSU. That is a significant difference in level of historic competition. You do not need the numbers to know that historically Texas has not played a schedule as the Big 6 in the SEC. The same applies to Oklahoma, Nebraska, USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan. Anyone not a fan of those programs has seen what their schedules looked like historically and know they ain't playing but 1-2 schools in the top 15 all time wins while the big 6 in the SEC are playing 3-4 every season and have been since the mid 1930s.

I don't understand Texas..should be a top 5 program every year..what is the problem? There is no excuse for a year to "rebuild " especially now with NIL, but even BEFORE NIL ..I don't understand how Texas is consistently the most underperforming major program along with USC.

Alright, if we're going to play this game....Bama has lost 2 in a row to Oklahoma, and got trashed last year when Oky ended up 2-6 in the conference. At least Bama has been GOOD when we dropped games to them.
