They were exciting games but Alabama began to dominate. It really does come down to Les’ inability to adapt offensively. Gus and Kick Six led Saban to Kiffin and Sark. Les didn’t adapt. That 2015 game with Fournette being the prime example.
Now, tell me one other rivalry during the Nick Saban era that you can't say that about another team. Every year things change and as we look back they legitimately cost us dearly. But life seldom concedes to retrospective views, my friend.
I can say the same thing about BAMA and so can you. IF coach Saban doesn't fire our OC a week before the NC game, I submit we beat Clemson in 2016. Jalen Hurts needed Lane Kiffin. The guy knew him and he was a true freshman for goodness sake. Instead, we lost a big lead going into the 4th quarter and we must have punted 100 times in that game. We destroyed our defense's will with pure fatigue. IF Coach Saban didn't treat our DC in Pete Golding like he was his love child for 5 long years how many more championships do we have? The last time BAMA had the #1 defense in the land was in 2017 under Jeremy Pruitt. My God, Pete didn't have the sense to go after a true freshman Clemson QC in the 2018 natty. Pete Golding could not scheme the elite RPO teams and for 5 long azz years with our greatest offensive talent, we couldn't give Tua and Bryce a natty as starters. Unforgivable to keep Pete Golding. Coach Saban did that my friend.
Les Miles lost it down the stretch, with his Power I offensive concepts but his stubbornness also made him a tough nut to crack. Coach Saban was just as stubborn about his beloved defense and it cost us dearly and he was still the best the game has ever seen.

Alabama losing to Clemson in 2016 had more to do with losing Scarbrough than it did with losing Kiffin. Sark called a good game.
Saban in his bad years was national championship loss, Suger Bowl win and OT loss in the Rose Bowl. No comparison between the goat and Les.

Not going to argue with you on that one. Kelly made a really bad hire at DC and failed to get everyone on board with adding pieces on defense. A different DC and a few additions from the portal and it's a national champ type season.

Les Miles was better than most who ever coached in the SEC. Saying he isn't Coach Saban doesn't prove anything and again, is NOT my point here and you know it by now.
Stubbornness is what makes great coaches and great accomplishments possible. Stubbornness is the same quality as dogged determination, tenacity, stick-to-itiveness, perseverance, and fight. All qualities we laud in sports and life. They are the same quality.
The only difference is RESULTS. And that's judgement and it's constantly evolving. When we are stubborn about something and it doesn't work we are going to get crushed in sports. When it works, we are geniuses. It still took stubbornness. Either way.

Kalen DeBoer went 9-4 with the most talent in the country.
Bama fans cry about the quarterback and he'll likely be a very high NFL draft pick.

It's not fair to judge him until year 3.

And I pray to god Milroe ends up being drafted by your NFL team and let you see first hand how "pro caliber" he is.

The most prolific offense probably ever, certainly collegiate. It did plenty.
