You must understand how much we dislike Alabama and their success.

I grew up watching Alabama dominate LSU...

You steal our old coach from the NFL, you win a MNC and win the heisman in 2009...probably another one this year, you win Rivals recruiting rankings 4 years in a row... you claim 13 NC's etc etc....

We finally beat you in a huge game at your house, you are home resting, practicing, so you can then try to ruin our undefeated season?

You are nuts if you think we want that attempt to be made. You wouldn't want to play LSU if the same scenario was reversed... You would be preaching all the things we have said all week long.

You lost at home! You go to another bowl not named the BCSMNC... You didn't acheive what we did from the same conference going head to head

Some honestly right there.

This argument is illogical and self serving. Anti-rematchers are essentially arguing that Alabama's loss to LSU was a "playoff elimination" game while Oklahoma State's loss to Iowa State was not. Think how absurdly illogical that is. A loss to #1 is unforgivable and means you can't possibly be the #2 team while on the other hand a loss to an unranked team teams means you can be #2 because "we don't know how they would do against LSU". Who gives a frick what they MIGHT do against LSU. For the 10 millionth time, determining the #2 team has absolutely nothing to do with LSU. As usual, some LSU fans think it's all about them.

Nice spin

You lost to LSU at home, OSU hasn't had the chance

And isn't this a National Championship? Not an SEC love fest...

OSU has a better record/resume if they beat OU...thats just a fact to none biased computers...

What hurts Alabama, though, is the fact that they've already played LSU and Oklahoma State hasn't. The ONLY way to find out if LSU and Alabama are indeed the best two teams in college football is to let OSU play LSU.

I've never thought of it this way. Interesting.

I agree with you too.

I don't know, "loss at home to an unranked and 6-5 Iowa state team" looks pretty shitty on that resume if you ask me. Even if they do beat a 2 loss OU who oh by the way also lost at home to an unranked shitty team.

That's the thing...if it's an Alabama-LSU game, there COULD always be the argument that Oklahoma State was indeed the best team in the country in 2011 and were just never given the opportunity to prove it against LSU/Bama.

If Alabama gets left out, there is no argument. Even if Alabama fans feel they should have been in the game, it's hard to argue that alabama deserved a shot when they already had their shot against #1 and lost.

To me, MUCH LESS HARM is done if Alabama is left out than Harm that is done if OSU is left out.

I'm 10% "want the easier game" cause LSU has already gone through the toughest schedule and 90% "want to swim in the river of Bama tears from the whining that happens when OSU jumps them." It started 90/10 the other way, but my god you guys have some seriously insufferable fricks with regards to entitlement and this "scared" crap. LSU has them too, no doubt, but they don't factor in to my calculations. :totalbias:

As for the article posted, UL guy definitely not an LSU fan, just doesn't happen. And this is one guy, mid-week, before the game takes place. The more this article is posted, the more it actually does spread to others that vote in the polls, the more chance the facts hit home with some of them.

But keep your heads in the sand regarding how Bama is still a lock and no way in hell OSU gets the votes to jump you, and how this is one person so what difference does it make?

So does failure to win your division.

Failure to win your conference.

Having already lost to the other team, AT HOME earlier in the year.

I do agree that was a crappy loss by OSU. Definitely Alabama has the edge when looking at the loss(es).

But IMO OSU leads in so many other categories:

-more wins vs ranked teams
-more wins vs winning teams
-conference champions
-equal or better overall SOS
-haven't played LSU yet
-best conference in football this year
-more marquee wins

Alabama had their chance, and didn't win. So why would we give Alabama a SECOND chance at beating LSU before we even give OSU their FIRST chance?

No offense, trying to relay a point to you guys is like arguing with a brick wall. NOTHING sinks in. You guys are impervious to logic. No wonder Alabama is ranked MUCH MUCH higher than LSU in academics considering how poor the debating skills are on this board.

The BCS doesn't give teams a shot. They match the best two teams for a one game playoff. Is OSU the second best team? I don't think so but I'm like Clown Face, completely unbiased.

Fair point...but as an LSU fan, I saw us become the best team in the country in 2007 and we lost to Kentucky.

so it's hard for me to rail them too hard for the one loss. Regardless, I'm of the mindset that people should look at the whole body of work and not necessarily one or two or three games.

Exactly!

None of us believe that. But there is only ONE way to find out for certain if they are or not given the 3-team current race.
