I already gave Alabama the better loss. Why is that all you would look at? You don't have to convince me of that, I'm well aware that Bama has a much better loss than OSU....But a L is an L any way you slice it, and Bama and OSU both have ONE.
You don't see the unreasonableness of that (only looking at the loss and not everything else)?
Even if we assume that SOS is equal (which is debatable), the fact remains that OSU will have won their conference and will have not had a shot at beating #1 LSU yet while Alabama will have not won their division AND have already had a shot at beating #1 LSU at home.

If Texas/Oklahoma/USC/OhioState were in Oklahoma State's position...(1 loss, conference champion after win Saturday, only one undefeated major team in LSU)
Would there even be a debate over who was #2 this Sunday?
Basically, plug any one of those teams into OSU's position, and who comes out #2 Sunday?

My favorite part of his pathetic logic is that because OSU lost to Iowa State with 5 turnovers, that loss should be discounted. Perhaps we should just take fumbles and interceptions out of the game.
This guy is a moron.

I don't think anything about that loss should be discounted. It was a bad loss IMO.
But I also believe that there's a ton more to look at than just the respective losses.

Well look at it this way: if Bama gets in, it's like the BCS championship has been gift wrapped for LSU since they will be playing a team that shouldn't be there and one you've already dominated on the road. You should be happy. But I think it's big of you to carry the torch for OkSt. Are you a closet Cowboy fan?

OSU did play in front of a hostile crowd. All 55,000 of them!

I've said all along I believe LSU and Alabama are better than OSU. I truly believe that.
But when I consider that Alabama was already given a chance at LSU, I believe the nod should be given to OSU and give them a shot at LSU.
And who knows, if OSU beats LSU, we WERE ALL WRONG all along....LSU and Alabama were indeed not the two best teams like we thought. If LSU wins, no harm no foul....Both Bama and OSU were given a shot at LSU, and neither got it done. No controversey...it would be cemented that LSU was indeed the best team in the country.
One has to really think deep to understand this, but gauge the two based on the potential "harm" caused....(Bama getting left out vs OSU getting left out)
To me, it would be a much bigger travesty if OSU was never given a shot than if Alabama was left out, given the team opposite in the BCSCG (LSU) and the fact that they had already played and lost to them.

I think from your half a dozen threads the last few days, it's clear you want to face the 107th ranked defense in the NC, rather than the #1 ranked defense, especially since it's likely to be a toss up game, if yall did. No need to keep rehashing it.

This 25 percent you keep throwing around is bullshite. Okie State is #5 in the human polls. The only way it is 25 percent is if every voter that does not have them number two moves them to number three. Not happening, sorry.

Yes. It should be OSU. No doubt in my mind.
I'm glad I made that crystal clear.
And, like you asserted, I've continued to hammer my arguments out over and over again. None of which arguments included what you just stated.

Last week's polls don't matter. OSU won't be 5 Sunday (assuming they beat OU).

I hope, at the very least, some of you Bama fans can respect my opinion even though you may disagree with it.
I have never resorted to name-calling, and I've made some pretty reasonable arguments for OSU.

Simple, VA Tech & Stan ahead of OSU because they are 11 & 1, not 10 & 1. OSU still has its final season game to play, which they must win to stay in the hunt. If 2 loss Oregon wins Pac 12 CG, they should place ahead of a non-Pac 12 champ Stanford (who lost to Oregon anyway), so Stanford will fall back & be eliminated from discussion. The key is VA Tech. They need to lose Sat. Otherwise, I think they will take too many votes away from OSU, allowing Bama in at #2.
