Bama would still have at least a dozen titles even if they dropped the "bullshite" ones. How many basketball titles would LSU have?

Props. You frickers have a damn good coach.
The level of basketball coaching talent in the SEC is absurd right now.

You're the one bragging.

They've absolutely done the right thing. They decided to wait out and see what happens with NIL, spend the money there to keep the product where it needs to be, and at some point going forward (once we see where the NIL world is going to lead to), the new arena can be addressed. For now, they're doing the right thing.
We are years past where we should be on the construction calendar. It was Covid post inflation prices that the fans were told as THE reason we couldn't build a very "modest" basketball facility. In 2022 the sum was 183 million. A year later it inflated to 250 mil and it was off. That all came from years and decades of dragging their feet to engage.
The University isn't waiting on NIL data. The project isn't anywhere close. We are getting a 58-million-dollar practice facility connected to the same albatross we call Coleman Coliseum. Enjoy.

Congrats on the cakewalk Final Four last season.
Still the best thing about the run Oats is having at Bama: how much it infuriates Auburn fans. You know this guy probably kicks his dog after every Bama win

Coleman has character. Nate prioritized the NIL for players and the practice facility that is currently being built in the parking lot of Coleman. I think he is happy.....

The blueprint of the new stadium had fans on top of the action. I'd rather have home-court advantage and fun. I usually go to a museum when I need a dose of character.
I don't say this often and probably won't again, but the barn got it 100% right. "The Jungle" is a basketball happening and it has built a homecourt advantage that compliments their new influx of talent. The kids love it, and that is everything, and even the older fans love getting their hands on a ticket.

Welp, glad I didn't end up in that thread...
Apparently me 6 years ago was more focused on making fun of the leghumpers and 1980. Good times...

Nothing says elite like beating BYU, Robert Morris, St. Joseph’s, Clemson, Grand Canyon, and Charleston.
The tournament wins have been fools gold. North Carolina has been the only team in that stretch ranked higher than a 6 seed and they were seen as an extremely overrated #1 seed. Somehow they got on the #1 line even with 7 losses.

Love it, let's hear more.

Where have I seen a list of mid majors and middling ACC teams like that before.................oh, right, a list of lower seeded teams that have ended Bruce Pearl's Auburn's teams tournament runs!
2018 - #5 seed Clemson beats #4 seed Auburn
2022 - #10 seed Miami beats #2 seed Auburn
2024 - #13 seed Yale beats #4 seed Auburn
Wow, maybe it's not so easy after all?
Also, convenient to just leave out #1 seed North Carolina in your list - I'm sure it just slipped your mind!

I find it absolutely adorable how often Auburn fans claim Alabama had an "easy" run last year when they lost to 13th seed Yale in the same tournament.
And this wasn't some criminally underseeded, powerhouse Yale team either... they lost by almost 30 in the very next game to San Diego State.
Oh, and convenient how they always leave off that we had to beat the #1 seed in our bracket to get there.
And another point... why is it that leading up to the games we hear about how St. Mary's had the defense to beat us, but then suddenly is a weak team. How BYU is scoring hot and will match us point for point... and then when we win, they're weak too.
Auburn's played Alabama St. and Creighton. Room to talk shite = 0.

A list of teams Auburn has beaten in the NCAA Tournament since Nate Oats has been at Alabama
2021 - nobody, missed tournament entirely
2022 - #15 seed Jacksonville State
2023 - #8 seed Iowa
2024 - nobody
2025 - #16 seed Alabama State, #9 seed Creighton
Auburn hasn't had a tournament win over anybody higher than an #8 seed since 2019, and you've been a top 4 seed 3 times

Pretty tasteless comment given the topic of Alabama basketball.
