The biggest mistake the University of ALABAMA has made during the Oats era is the failure to build him and so many long-suffering Basketball fans a house we could be proud of.
They've absolutely done the right thing. They decided to wait out and see what happens with NIL, spend the money there to keep the product where it needs to be, and at some point going forward (once we see where the NIL world is going to lead to), the new arena can be addressed. For now, they're doing the right thing.

I think LSU has permanent banners for SEC championships and SEC tournament championships which just get the year added when they win one.
It also has Final Four and national championship banners.
I assume Alabama hung a Final Four banner last year. What other banners went up?

When is his press conference for taking an NBA job
This is the correct question, and hopefully not until his youngest graduates high school (or close to it).
There’s a lot of coaches saying the NBA is more work now that NIL exists in college and recruiting is mostly what you pay. More than twice the number of games in NBA and ~2.5 times the road trips, and the money isn’t that much different. Family life is a lot easier as a CBB head coach, but I think Nate wants the NBA pretty badly. Would love to see him take the Coach K or Coach Izzo route and be at Bama for 30 years, but that’s not realistic.

LSU hasn't made it past the Sweet Sixteen in almost 2 decades. And doesn't have a National Championship. Unless you're down bad enough to count the women's title Skeletor won last year.

Are you getting semantical about the difference in adding a new accomplishment to a banner for a championship and bringing in a new individual banner?

LSU has national championships in both men's and women's basketball.

LSU has national championships in both men's

LSU has claimed a national championship for the 1935 season (pre-NCAA tournament), but not on the basis of any determination by an external selector.
LSU is the only school that officially claims a national championship on the basis of a win in the American Legion Bowl, an event that made no claim to determine a national champion. The Helms Athletic Foundation retroactively named the 19–1 NYU Violets its national champion for the 1934–35 season. The retroactive Premo-Porretta Power Poll also ranked the Violets as its 1935 national champion. The Premo-Porretta poll ranked LSU fifth, behind second-ranked Richmond (20–0), third-ranked Duquesne (18–1), and fourth-ranked Kentucky (19–2); the poll ranked Pittsburgh—LSU's final opponent–16th nationally.
This is 1941 levels of bad, if not worse.

Oh we're playing that game? OK then Alabama also has a men's basketball championship. Check 1930 season. It's actually more legit than LSU's 1935 title though Bama's not pathetic enough to claim it.

I’ll give you 2020-21 as good wins.
The rest can’t hurt me, I’m already dead inside.
