Hal Mumme spends most of his show talking about what a fine upstanding Christian Hugh freeze is so forgive me for neither believing a word he says or listening to his show. Between his show and "Listen to the Eagle" senile OM homer host Paul Ott and his butt buddy Burt Ott Carruth I don't listen to ESPN past "The Drive at 5".

He's had a hard on for Freeze since he arrived in Oxford. I'm assuming he is begging for an assistant position at OM so he can finally get back into the D1 ranks and out of former D1 coach purgatory. He probably thinks this garners him favoritism.

Agreed. Mumme is taking this personally. It is personal, but it's not directed at Mumme. It's directed at Texas. Belhaven is an unfortunate collateral victim.

He just needs to have them with LSU, not with Texas, any other SEC program, or any other major program that has a recruiting footprint in Louisiana.
This isn't about hurting high school players or regional schools, it's about keeping competitors from establishing those kinds of tight relationships with local high schools.
