I think you’re mixing up obvious coach cheating and booster cheating. The head coaches (except for Will Wade apparently) are largely out of it. Plausible deniability.

Auburn has no alumni, supporters of the school or "hangers on" types that currently own, previously owned or dream of owning any ocean front condos or similar structure.

I’ll say this. For several years I was a recruiting coordinator as well as a position coach at a large high school in metro Atlanta that sends multiple kids to P5 schools every year. Your guy is full of shite and one of the biggest offenders is on Florida’s staff. He just flat out asks how much money it will take where as most are more on the DL with those things. Also, every friggin P5 school provides benefits, every dang one and you are kidding yourselves if you believe otherwise.

The most asinine part about the whole post is that no single person on the face of the earth could possibly give a list of schools that aren’t cheating.
How would they even know?
I would wager a large sum of money that coaches at schools that are cheating purposely don’t even know the details/extent to which it happens, just so they could maintain plausible deniability.

So you agree that you DID NOT name the player until now? Now about that booster that you say you have firsthand knowledge of giving extra benefits to recruits. Name him. You claim to KNOW he/she gave impermissible benefits to a recruit, yet you balk at naming this person. Why? As an Auburn fan, you should be taking delight in bringing down big, bad Bama.

I know the booster.
My best friend growing up was a four year starter at FSU. My Dad asked him if he needed any money when he was home visiting on a break. While sitting at the dinner table with our entire family he said "No. We get good hand shakes at FSU" and grinned. I didn't turn him in either. Another great friend of mine was an All-American LB at UF. I saw his name mentioned, several times, in another thread yesterday. He took me out to the strip club on UF boosters dime when he would come and visit. I didn't turn him in either. Players getting benefits happens at every single University in the nation.
ETA You are a fool if you think all of these highly rated players go to bama just to say they were a part of the football program. These are kids who have started their entire lives. They could go to any SEC school and have a shot at the NFL. Yet they are going to go someplace where the competition for playing time is the toughest in the nation?

I have a getaway single wide parked 1/4 mile from the casino in Philadelphia. It’s in a nice park and I have an oak tree for shade. Well spring break this year I was taking a break in the spring sitting in the shade drinking a Nattie when a stretch limousines pulls up to the trailer two down from mine. Out jumps 5 high school football players.
( they had on jerseys from Auburn).
And two ladies dressed in not much. The limo left and I saw a auburn sticker on the bumper. So....
The owner of that place was a x Auburn player. Under Bowden I think.
A good time was had by all. The teenagers did well and won enough to pay their beer tab with enough left for a large pack of pig skins. These were fine young men and the lady’s were too. And clean. At least to start with.
So we all have places we invest in and see things we see. And do things we do. And go by and get shots on the way home. Best be safe.

So you just saw parties, you don't know if it was actually him throwing the parties.
Not that it matters. I doubt Alabama got a player because some booster allowed parties.
It's not what I would really call cheating, although it could be an infraction. It's more on the $100 handshake type thing, which happens everywhere and isn't what I consider cheating.

I am stunned bama fans are so shocked about this revelation. There are schools who aren't considered P5 schools where this is going on. Boosters are going to take every advantage in trying to steer a highly regarded recruit to their school. This is not some earth shattering news.
