Of course they could be shocked. Did you see the threads after LSU's basketball coach got caught on tape? People believe whatever they want to believe, facts and common sense be damned.

Good think he doesn’t coach at Mississippi State.

Doing more with less is not his job. In all likelihood, our “shitty” coach is going to keep beating the brains out of supposed “good” coaches who don’t sign as good of players.

The incentive to cheat by paying tens/hundreds of thousands of dollars evaporated in the last couple years when barriers to transferring were destroyed.

I doubt coaches at successful SEC programs are dense enough not to realize that.

This is either completely made up or you fell for this guy's lies hook, line, and sinker.

You are talking about millions upon millions of dollars both for the individual coaches and their schools. If a coach finds success as an assistant he moves up and increases his earning potential from typically hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to $5-$10m a year. Real money. Every single one of those dudes cheats to protect that sort of income. Every. Single. One. The fact that you, or anyone else, thinks it doesn't happen is crazy.

Especially given that the other high dollar NCAA sport is currently going through a series of Federal trials where the gov't keeps proving that coaches in that sport were funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars to recruits. You think basketball is the only sport where people do that sort of thing because of the money at stake? Of course not.

Oh, and nobody thinks Mullen's coaching staff is better than Kirby's. Nobody. That will be born out as guys on Kirby's staff go off and get better jobs while guys on Mullen's staff get trapped in the same positions.

Would Dog fans seriously be shocked if UGA was busted tomorrow for recruiting violations?

Yes, but not because UGA committed recruiting violations. I’m quite sure UGA commits recruiting violations. I would be shocked if the NCAA was both competent and bold enough to bust UGA or any other major program.

Yeah Jeb. Good think because he would be exposed if he wasn't cheating in recruiting and having his players bail him out of dumb playcalling when they can. Nothing you can do with a fake punt at midfield with one of the most coveted recruits in the country.

Yeah, like Texas.

Or maybe LSU.

What about Ole Miss?

Vanderbilt even?

Bowlcut has one more year before Florida takes him to the woodshed. Enjoy this year because when Mullen gets his own players its lights out for runner up Richt: Cheating edition.

You're an idiot.

No one ever said LSU didn't pay for all of those recruits. Our only argument was PROVE IT.

Those were shitty games. Kind of like what Mullen had against UK and Missouri. shite happens. UGA has also bludgeoned a bunch of solid teams the past two years. Those also count.

I really do not care about his first year struggles after the last two. They are basically irrelevent. UGA has a completely different class of football team in all facets.

at Mullen actually fielding a team of his top choice recruits.

I have no idea if he's telling the entire truth or maybe even saying some things that didn't take place, but it would be seriously strange if he was making this up. There are a lot of takes here that people wouldn't dream of making so it, again, makes little sense to lie.

Well I mean you said he would beat the brains in of good coaches with less talent and this was patently false. He, in fact, got his scrub arse blasted by several times over the years that had less talent.

Even after losing 5 Blue Chips from his last class, he still isn't even close to his best class from Mississippi State.

His two last starting QBs he recruited at MSST:

.8133 (Fitzgerald)
.8569 (Prescott)

His Current QB at Florida:

.9587 (Emory Jones)

And when AR15 gets a bump that'll continue to increase.

Like I said, borrowed time. Enjoy your runner up trophies.

Every momma, daddy, grandmomma, and auntie have their damn hands out from the time their "baby" shows an ounce of star talent. This shite starts back in jr. high school and to think those same family members aren't ready to cash in once big time college programs comes calling is ridiculous.

He has done so far more often than not.

Good thing, because Kirby smoked that Mullen squad.

You’re clearly confident. So am I. We’ll see how it goes. College football is historically kinder to jimmies and joes than X’s and O’s, though.

1. Alabama doesn't cheat anymore(they did the first few years). Despite what people believe, they don't need to. Bama hasn't paid a player in years. Clemson does not either. They have enough proof of success that there is no need to offer money anymore and take a risk of being caught

I suspected this as well..I think Duke and UK BB is in the same category. They're too big of a name to cheat. They dont have to

Yeah, I’m sure players who are offered six figures by Kansas are instead going to Duke for free.

So the “insider” gator who claims to hang with Justin fields now claims uga cheats? This wreaks of a desperate agenda. It’s mullen’s Only move at this point. Of course straws and the gus bussers also lap it up.

Alabama still pushes the envelop, and walks a fine line with the rules. They are still a serious player in the recruiting wars for players, but it's nothing now like it was back when Saban was building this monster. Alabama/Saban are a proven commodity and some recruits are up for the challenge and want to consistently compete for championships.

Why would a top level 5* want to go to a program where the coaching staff is constantly on the hot seat, and turns in mediocre results year after year?

You’re the same guy that had sources that Chip Kelly was Florida’s next coach. Sit down.
