Sure. Lets talk about Cam. The FEDS investigated it. Everybody knows they can't find money when they are looking for it. The NCAA spent 13 months investigating it. Nothing came of it.
Now lets talk about Julio. He got a vehicle from another school but wound up at bama...........for free I am guessing is your take on it?

There it is. Nothing happened with Cam because feds and no filings(other than the fact the NCAA created a rule directly because of it and it would have made Cam ineligible if it happened today).
Meanwhile completely unverified claims about an Alabama player is 100% legit.
There is that Auburn delusion I was looking for. You delivered like it was a fresh hot pizza.

You sure have spent a lot of time and effort calling me a liar for this to be a "non story".
Breaking news: Man posts on message board he visits, more news later.
#1 sign someone is getting their arse handed to them: They try to talk about the time another person has spent(which is probably 15 minutes total broken up into smaller bits).

So rambles on the guy who's school was ratted out by his own HC as Terry Bowden laid out in detail, in public, AU's crooked scheme to bribe teenagers to please come to their school. Had gone on for years and is likely the same pay-for-play racket in use today. Many of the same people in the places of real power. This was the scheme that was being used 10 years earlier when Blakeney said, "keep it down home cuz". This all from published reports. You know there is so much more. Y'all are the experienced experts.

Yeah, AU fans should sit this one out. I mean shite, Wayne Hall was a dam good DC. He had to leave coaching to get into the trucking business. Wonder why??

I have zero doubt Auburn boosters steer players to Auburn. I am not delusional. I am certainly not going to go bat shite crazy if somebody said an Auburn booster was letting a recruit throw parties at his property. That is child's play. That is what is so funny about the gumps ITT calling me a liar. I didn't say the kid got a vehicle or got money. It was a condo loaned out on multiple occasions for parties.
ETA it is also insight on how boosters recruit in this day and age.

So now you're back to they've gotta be cheating, just gotta be to explain away your "saw it with my own eyes on numerous occasions fantasy" all the while arguing with your own self. Since no one here is actually denying that all SEC teams likely cheat. It was a UF poster who claims to know someone who is in the business who said recruiting is not as nasty as it once was who has upset the rationale you created to satisfy and help yourself accept some favorite team failures and others successes. That story, that cheating down, way down these days is a common one. Maybe it is,maybe it's not. Posters here remain somewhat skeptical. If it truly is that shouldn't challenge your personal self worth though. If it's not maybe the poster is not telling the truth.
Frankly any person who lent a condo out to a renegade teen to pitch a wide open bitch would not do it twice as he wouldn't have a condo left to lend after it was destroyed the first go 'round. Nor would the neighbors or police allow it after the first time. It would be destroyed. LOL! Take your losses and move on.

You know nothing about PCB.

Correct. You came to your conclusions from internet rumor?

State is lucky that rule wasn't around then.

Fake news
I know actual recruiters for SEC teams. Every team in the SEC cheats to some level
And kids do not go bc of the money but they’re not going to leave money on the table at one school and go somewhere where they don’t have anything. There were bidding wars last year that involved all of the schools.

I do, as I have owned 2 condos there. The condo association, at any decent place anyway, would make sure you didn't allow for a 2nd wild arse party. In fact, the owner's quest would nearly certainly been evicted for the goings on the first time.
If you doubt this then evidently you're only acquainted with the piece of shite complexes where anything goes. In that case, it sucks to be you.

Nope.
Crap. Then you gators have more ins to recruiting than everybody else. You are in on conversations between head coaches and recruits from other schools, and you hob nob with recruiters...living the life, I guess.
Odd that nobody is cheating except your biggest rival in the SEC, though.

Then you know you could probably count the actual people who live in a condo complex on one hand. You also know this place is dead from mid-Sept. until the snow birds start arriving in late Oct./early Nov.
You also know what Spring Break is around here. It has calmed down some over the last few years, but we are talking 2012. It was a non-stop party from late May to mid-August around here at that time.
It's absurd that any fanbase would believe that boosters aren't involved in recruiting......even bama.

Alabama doesn't cheat anymore
I have mentioned for years a friend of mine who has worked on a daily basis with coaches, players, Scouts, recruiters, etc, for 20 years. This person is in the know as much as anyone. Said that orgeron was recruiting a high-profile player in Louisiana. That player told orgeron that Bama was offering x amount. Orgeron told him that his recruitment to LSU was immediately over. Guess where that player ended up. Now, the player could have been lying but I hope no one is naive enough to think that
quote:larf.
Clemson does not either
quote:it's just changed in how it's getting done but it's happening. I'm definitely not saying he's lying. I'm just saying that it's getting done in such a way that people like him don't see. Heck, even the coaches are kept in the dark for the most part
Said it was really bad from 08-13 but has settled down greatly
The sport doesn't go from handing out money to not. You can't put that genie back in the bottle. Also, it's clear that there's still rampant cheating in basketball. It doesn't make sense to say that basketball is cheating but football is not. It's the same boosters and ncaa. They aren't handing out tens of thousands of dollars for basketball players and then suddenly growing a conscience for football players

It seems pretty obvious to me that no school is directly involved, it seems more like boosters doing so after winks from coaches. Also seems obvious it is on a case-by-case basis. Some kids parents want to play dirty and receive benefits (I hardly think cash is exchanged) and some kids won't. You're pretty naive if you think extra benefits aren't being given (too many stories and Chargers being driven) but I will have a hard time believing that it's just a flat out bidding war.
Thread seems of sour grapes just to throw shot at an obvious "unnamed" school.
At least you were aware

This is true. I have seen how bama works today first hand. They signed a very highly rated kid from here who didn't pan out. Top 10 overall rating type player. Before he signed with bama, a local bama booster would let the kid have use of his beach condo every month. Said kid would have huge parties at the condo. Recruiting is still as slimy as it has always been. People have just gotten smarter about how to do it.
Now this is 100% believable. Unlike the OP

He was on the boog payroll for years after "stepping away" from coaching.

The kid lived less than five miles from the beach. It wasn't like he was here on Spring Break or something like that. Just stop trying to spin this shite any other way than what it actually was. It was a booster of a school getting close to a highly regarded recruit. Nothing more/nothing less.
You are strong on accusations and weak on information.

Go back and stick your head in the sand and continue to believe that bama is stacking 5* on top of 5* just because these kids, who have started their entire lives, want to compete on a team as deep as any team they will ever play on in their lives......at any level. They couldn't possibly go to another SEC school, where competition is not near as deep, and make it to the NFL.
In the last decade, what SEC school has proven they will consistently funnel their players into the early rounds of the NFL draft?
