Let him get a few years under his belt as a HC. Great plan.

Hopefully we can hold our recruits if both Gus and Thigpen leave.

To the people saying Chiz is done. Are you really that convinced there are no more good OC in world?

[link=(tigerdroppings.com/rant/display.aspx?p=27356224&pg=3)]Eat some crow in this thread regarding gus and how there's no way he'd ever go to UNC[/link]

I know that thread was from when it was preseason and vacant but a lot fail regarding how Gus would never go to UNC, and how he'd hold out for a better job, unc is a shitty job etc..

Chizik has the OK to offer the next OC up to $1M per year. I'm sure he will get a very good replacement.

Yeah I think he'd be a perfect fit at Auburn. Pretty brilliant spread OC.

It's ironic that LSU beat Bama with a speed option in to the Boundary.

Tommy Thigpen is also likely to join Malzahn in Chapel Hill.

I wonder who will be his DC? Hiring the right assistants are the most important thing a new head coach can do.

apparently it's Auburn's safeties coach Thigpen

I think defenses have also adjusted to what Gus wants to do.

no they haven't, how many Auburn games have you watched?

The problems are:

A brand new O.line

A slew of useless QB's (save Frasier who is too young)

A Defense that was never that good.

A bunch of WR's that other than Emory Blake are very mediocre.
