Money talks. We have it, you don't.
Unless Auburn is pushing for Gus to go, he isn't leaving for Arkansas. He isn't stupid enough to take a little more money up front to only be fired in 3 or 4 years because he went to a school that can't sustain success and is in a state that is void of talent on a yearly basis.

It's still funny to see yall begging for someone yall claimed was garbage and running off the one that was going to save yall.

And regardless, AU will still win SEC championships. Is this a preemptive moral victory for when Arky cycles through another coach and comes up short yet again?

Dude, he’s not saying Auburn can’t or doesn’t have success. He’s just saying that it’s not at the level of Alabama, both historically and currently. He’s just saying that Gus would’ve have a chance to go from the smaller big state school to the MAIN big state school. It’s not a knock.

Except you replied to a comment talking about Houston Nutt and averaging 8 wins a year. Bama education at its finest.

I can sum up this entire thread. Auburn fans who were, just a few weeks ago, saying they would personally pay for Malzahn's moving expenses if he left are now saying he will never go.

Anyone with half a functioning neuron left in their mind knows that it all depends on the finish for Gus. Win his last two games and get into the SEC championship? He's at Auburn for another couple of years even if they do miss the CFP.

Lose, go to a lesser bowl and lose there, and he's looking at coming back to an Auburn campus that was calling for his head... only next year he won't have all the senior talent at Auburn he had this year.

In which case, taking the job at Arkansas, where he will get five years to fart around, looks mighty tempting.

There we have it. If he does well he won't leave, if he doesn't do well then he probably will move to avoid the lynch mob next year.

I'm fairly meh on whether we take him or not. It will all come down to whether he wins or loses the Iron Bowl.

Gus has been a part of the past 2 SEC championships at Auburn, potential to play for another one on a few weeks. He left, and came back. All of this while Saban was at Alabama. Gus is not afraid of Saban/Alabama, or the pressure of beating him at AU, and has to face him at Arkansas anyway. It's just a dumb thread and calling it as such.

Yeah, not the case. You're speaking in absolutes. I told everyone they were overreacting and Gus would correct after the LSU game.

This thread does not have anything to do with Georgia. Don’t get confused. This has to do with Arkansas and Auburn. Why is that hard to understand. Reality is. Alabama has been better. Does not mean Aub has not been good . Bama is the standard for now. Please explain how this statement is not a fact. I was pointing out that with Arkansas, he would not have the intense pressure of beating Alabama.

Take a look at the Auburn board from after the LSU loss... and then look at it after the GA win...

From, "We will help him pack to go to Arkansas, Arkansas, we will pay Bert's buyout if you take the Gus Bus"

to... "He would never go to Arkansas, even if it is his home" He would never win at Arkansas"

Good Lord, JUST KEEP THE MEALY MOUTHED< SWETHER VESTED HYPOCRITICAL BASTARD CHILD OF JIMMY SWAGGART AND MISS TAMMY! PLEASE???? Prettty Please????

Gus to Arkansas is catching major steam in NWA. There's rumors of a verbal offer on a house in Pinnacle.

If it’s a dumb thread. Move on. Don’t post a reply. I live in Mobile. I get how pissed Auburn people get when it’s pointed out that Bama is the best team in the state. More times than not, it’s a fact. Aub is a damn good football school. Great tradition. I know football, I am neutral when it comes to Bama/Aub. Bama is historically better and over the past decade has easily been the standard in the sport. Tell me how that is not a fact.

Seems like their is more talk of this. Gus is in a good spot. Arkansas would probably hire him. Aub now has to decide if they want to go forward with Gus. Beat Bama, I’m sure they will keep him. Lose, and it’s a coin toss
