Old Money isn’t wrong and get gas too, I was on it for 3 hours last year and guy in front of me had to hold up a sheet so his wife could pee. If you have kids etc, bring gatoraid, makes perfect piss bottles

I couldn’t remember the name of the that place, It’s right past Freeboos Ranch ranch but it’s a good stop.

Also I think you can get a good steak at 4pm probably anywhere at any steakhouse in Austin. i think I have eaten at all of the top ten so far. They were all good to excellent. Not cheap but you will not be disappointed

Leaving tomorrow now, any reports from today?
Posted on 9/8/22 at 6:56 pm to TutHillTiger
Tried to leave today hopefully most of you did. It’s 80% of rain here in Mobile tomorrow and it’s really thunderstorms not just rain. That’s pretty much it to Houston, as a front is settling in.
Get a very early start

Because most of the state lives South of Montgomery?

If you're driving I-10 between BR & Lafayette, set your cruise on the Atchafalya Basin Bridge at the speed limit. They have cameras installed at the beginning and end of the bridge and are timing how long it takes you to cross. You will absolutely get a ticket in the mail if you go over the speed limit.
Damn, that's devious.
How is that even legal? A camera might be able to give them evidence that my car was speeding, but they need proof about the driver.

Most people will go I20 to US 79 in E Texas and then slice SW to the Cesspool.
All please be careful on your journey.

I know of no restaurants in Texas that serve steak and are open for lunch that don't serve steaks before 4:00. Do other states not do this?

Are their still Morris Bart billboards every quarter mile from Jacksonville to the Texas border?

15 minute or so delay with construction around Mandeville, expect the usual bullshite with traffic in Baton Rouge. No police on spillway yet

I only take I-10 going to and from Fort Morgan, so maybe you all can answer this. Why is there always a slow down when you are headed east right before the Mississippi River bridge in BR? Rain/no rain, any time of day, it always seems to take 30 minutes to get from Gross Tete to 12.

That construction outside of Houston is RIDICULOUS. It’s like 20 miles

Make sure you always have water before you cross the Basin Bridge. I have been stuck twice, once for 6+ hours. Seriously, pee and get water before you cross.
That bridge is ridiculous. Too long and too low a speed limit
