I thought Arky wanted to promote Bobby Petrino. The best fit would likely be Florida if Napier bombs out.

Remind me again What is Brian Kelly's buyout? The remaining years of his contract lol..no chance in hell. That is around 80 mill..you can't afford that....we can't..I doubt any college could.

Did he not deal with free agency in the NFL and guys being paid to play Football? Not seeing how that is a problem that he did not have to deal with in the NFL..

Somebody will roll the dice on him just for the buzz, but I have no idea why you would want this dude to coach your school in 2025.

61 year old who hasn't coached in years and never at the college level?
Sounds like a slam dunk

Exactly. Won a Super Bowl 22 years ago. He's just a media whore that's kept himself in the spotlight after being fired.

Media whores draw attention, which draws recruits. It is all about the cords he hires if he will be sucessful. I doubt recruiting will be an issue for him. Kids will want to play for him.

It used to. Recruits only care about one thing now and it's green and requires an upfront one time guarantee.

Anyone can recruit now with NIL. I don't follow CFB close enough to know who is hot and up and coming these days but I think I could probably come up with a long list of better hires than Gruden. I think FLA /AUB/ARK need a good coach more than they need a media boost right now.

He’d kill at OU or Arkansas.
He will be 62 by next season, could have a good 10 years.

Given Auburn gives zero shits about a coach's past, it's them.

Why would anyone hire him?
Bill Belichick got hired at North Carolina. Anything is possible.

If that's how this year works.... I'll leave this place and never come back. Unfortunately, you wouldn't do the same if it doesn't.

Jon will be welcome in Baton Rouge at the end of the season if LSU is left high and dry again............
