Yep. Bama and BYU just score too many TDs and don't kick enough FGs...not fair to the kicker.

I dunno about the Groza, but I'm pretty sure every kick Reichard has kicked this year had literally been dead center. He's the first true NFL kicker we've had in decades.

Also, breaking the Alabama kicker curse seems worthy of some kind of award. Maybe a knighthood.

LSU kicker deserves it more.

The LSU kicker missed 3 kicks including a 34 and 42 yarder. Reichard didn't miss a single kick.

Obviously I want the Bama guy to win it, but if it had gone to York I wouldn't think it undeserved at all. He is fantastic.
I get that. Reichart has been perfect, can't do more than make all your tries. I just think it is crazy York isn't even in their top 3 with all the pressure and long range, weather be damned kicks he has made.

Was perfect, hats off to him. But only even trying 3 field goals over 39 yards all year means comparing his performance to York's is apples to oranges.

The kid basically kicks a straight ball (not much draw or fade). Nearly all of your NFL kickers are that way, too.
PS- AMEN! about breaking the curse..probably added years to Saban's life!

I’m still salty about JK Scott not winning the RG award. His freshman year was probably his best year to be honest but I’ll be damned if some random rugby punter from TEXAS won the award that year. Rugby punting shouldn’t be allowed. Punters should have to stay in their god damn spot just like kickers do.

York gets some credit for hitting a lot of 50+ and he gets some demerits for missing a 34 yarder (OOF) and a 42 yarder. Definitely should have been a finalist over the BYU bum who missed 2 XPs.

Most awards this season have an asterisk next to them, same goes for the Groza.

Total shame he never won that award.

It's weird how badly you want this to be true.

Believe it was Scott's FR year he would have gone to the Pro Bowl as the first punter with his stats.

wait....you're telling me Sarah Fuller didn't get this award automatically? Hell - she finished her career 100% for all her kicks....
