Aaaaaaand there it is. It wasn't Gruden, and that's what generated the unholy shite fit. This is 100% of the issue, and if you're even slightly honest with yourself you'll admit it, too. It just so happens that Schiano's history at Penn State gives you the illusion of the moral high ground, when the reality is that your fan base is legit delusional about Tennessee's relevance.

It's no longer 1998, and your program isn't much more than a speed bump in the East, right now.

You might not have wanted Schiano, but your AD did. The bottom line is that Tennessee is not a program that can have its pick of the litter. And it likely won't for the foreseeable future.

C’mon man. The English is fine. Getting through this denial and working it out is what needs to be rephrased.

You and your fanbase cannot go on destroying a seemingly innocent man; simply, because you don’t like him.

All of the pedophilia shite; doesn’t look good in your favor and brings out a “win at all cost” attitude.

That’s called hearsay. And the two people involved already said it was bullshite.

Vols need to hire that middle school coach from Gadsden.

DOES NOT MATTER IF IT'S HEARSAY, THIS IS NOT A COURT OF LAW.

Even being associated with that scandal in any way is a stain that never washes out, and that may not be fair, but that's the way it is.

And if had gone ahead and hired him, you'd be at the front of the lynch mob vilifying us for allowing him to coach with this in his background.

This is the truth that's getting lost in all the fake virtue signaling.

Basically. Tenn fans were jazzed up about getting Gruden, hiring Schiano felt like a huge letdown, so they ran with this pedo story to justify their outrage.

If Gruden was HC and he hired Schiano as his DC, there would have been zero protests. You’re actin like a self righteous cuck. Stop. Tennessee deserves better than Schiano. I get that and fully support you in that endeavor.

That testimony comes from Mike McQueary, a man who never even worked with Greg Schiano. Schiano was an assistant at Penn State from 1991-1995. McQueary's first year as a GA at Penn State wasn't until 2000. Everything McQueary told the grand jury was second hand information. Meaning...he heard it from someone who says they heard it from Greg Schiano. Hardly reliable.

–Schiano stopped coaching at Penn State in 1995. The first documented episode where anyone at all was ever notified of any allegation against Sandusky was in 1998 and that was fully investigated by the district attorney and, quite correctly, was dismissed without any charges.

Ziegler must be a PSU apologist. The DA quite correctly dismissed the charges. What a joke. That article is garbage based on that paragraph alone.

Why would your AD even have Schiano on the coaches to hire list. After reading his background he should have been crossed off the list.
He may be a great coach and the charge that he didn't inform the police about the crimes going on at Penn St. may have been false, but that is baggage that he would have brought to the Vols. And they don't need that.

So if anyone is at fault its the AD.

And anyone who says they would hire this guy is a LPS. No one in their right mind would want this man as the face of their Football program...

So why is Schiano not suing the pants off of anybody implicating him?

The “evidence” you speak of hearsay. It’s not evidence and it’s not admissible. McQueary testified that Tom Bradley told him that Schiano told Bradley he saw Sandusky raping a child years earlier. McQueary and Schiano never coached together and the incident Schiano allegedly witnessed was a good decade earlier. Schiano denies he saw something and Bradley denies telling McQueary.
