Greg Schiano, asked about the difference between fans reception in Tennessee and Rutgers, said New Jersey has sharper people. “They just get it.” #rfootball

He is going to fail there worse than Petrino did returning to Louisville.

He had some success at Rutgers when they were in a shitty big East before they joined a division with Ohio St, Michigan, etc.

Is he really THAT wrong though? I feel like most people wouldn’t question him if he named any SEC state.

People are just as dumb up there as they are down here. Dumb people are everywhere

His speech about stroking trees 400 or 500 times was a real heater imo

New Jersey is the Mississippi of the NE

It is kind of puzzling why no other school except a school he coached for previously was aching to sign him to be their head coach. Rutgers simply "gets" that they're desperate to be anything better than terrible.

Yes.

For every hick example you can match it with a jersey shore type.

The absolute best Rutgers could do if everything falls right is still 4th in the B1G east. And that is running a Rutgers perfect season.

I can’t wait til perhaps one day, UT gets in a bowl game with Rutgers. I know it’s unlikely because Rutgers is.... well, Rutgers, but the cyber banter will be amazing and oh so entertaining. As bad as Rutgers is, they beat Arky in a home and home about five or six years ago. And Indiana beat Mizzou. And aTm has never beaten OSU and Mizzou is 1-10 lifetime vs the Buckeyes. No wonder you want those shitty teams out of this conference lol.

I don’t see Schiano ever finishing better than 6th in their division. Either Indiana or Maryland will always be slightly better than them in any given year. He might rise ahead of one of them before he’s canned in 5 years.

Unfortunately, people like that leave NJ and go to UF.

I'm not so sure about that. They chose to live in a state that smells like a landfill. That don't sound too sharp to me.
