So what was the main point? That other countries are having different results? Do they test as much as we do? Are the tests even accurate? Are they reporting data correctly? Hell they referenced China like their numbers reporting could be trusted .
We are not a society that is going to deal with this thing the way east asia is, regardless of what trump says. Mass amounts of people are going to gather for protests, go to beaches, have parties and not wear masks. We as a people will not follow guidelines the way others do. To think that we would is foolish. Some people see the mask mandates as tyrannical. Others just dont give a frick.

Fair enough. I checked out the podcasts the host does; he's hardly a neutral host.
The doctor being interviewed has legit credentials though and I'll give him a listen.

We have to see things change! This virus is too much for us to handle as is!
The panic is too much man. At some point common sense needs to take over. There have been fewer than 9,000 deaths in the US from Covid from people under the age of 55. The overwhelming majority is from adults 65+. Not sure why we can't just quarantine an older and immune compromised population for 2 months and the rest of us live life.

You won't like the video, he says the same things I do.

He's a doctor, so I'll presume he knows what he's talking about. Then I'll listen to other doctors.
Sorry for not blindly presuming everything you post is accurate. I guess when the Mayo clinic, CDC, and FDA all say masks help but Dr. 3down10 with his 37 PhDs tells me they don't, I know who to listen to.

You are correct, I'm not a doctor.
I do however have more than 20 years of experience creating/generating relevant stats and understanding the logical fallacies that can happen when you don't include the correct context to the stats.
And that's really all I've done. I see the errors in systems and ways of doing things and I point them out.
I also don't have an agenda like the media, as I do not think for a minute it's possible they haven't known better this entire time.
So when stats and data get posted, it is what I do and I am good at it. Which is why it's not a coincidence this guy shares my opinions.
But I'm glad you watched the video, I hope more people do.

Does the Dr. in the video really say that? I read a little bit about him and it seems his focus is more against the requirements

Europe is sending most people a check and telling people don't worry about working.
I have lived there recently and the only thing they do better than us is get by on a lower standard of living.

I was referring to 3down10's statements that masks don't help at all.

Yeah, I understood that but the way you phrased it sounded like the doctor might agree with that. I guess you haven't listened to it either.
Regardless I doubt he says anything like that. I would be really interested if any Dr. said masks don't work without some heavy qualifications attached to it.

He says the masks don't really help unless you expect someone to be close to you and directly coughing on you. Someone like a nurse, doctor etc.
He mentioned the 6 feet distancing is also a bit off. Said there was some pressure on the WHO/CDC to change that. Many places only do 3 feet and have the same success. On that one, I'm personally fine with 6 feet.
Also mentioned that is was outright dumb to not have kids in schools. Seemed a little passionate about the topic. Young people still in school basically have 0 chance of dying from it(only risks come from other conditions) and they basically never pass the virus on to others(younger people often asymptomatic).
Said some other countries have just stopped testing kids for covid completely because there isn't any reason to do so. They don't get sick and die from it, and they don't spread it.
Good bit more, it was a great truth telling video.

I'll be interested to see how it was exactly worded when I get a chance but I did see an article that he was apart of in which he mentioned kids not wearing masks to schools but he did mention it would be a good idea for teachers who would be at risk to wear one.

It's a good watch, so yeah for sure listen. He mentioned teachers, but did so more in terms of teachers who might be at risk and are worried about it. Kids rarely infect other people, so overall it's not a real concern. And a young kid could be someone who coughs directly on a person.
Overall, he was pretty upset with teachers not wanting to do their job.

With all of this school talk, here's an interesting development.
German study finds no evidence coronavirus spreads in schools
quote:
Schools do not play a major role in spreading the coronavirus, according to the results of a German study released on Monday.
The study, the largest carried out on schoolchildren and teachers in Germany, found traces of the virus in fewer than 1 per cent of teachers and children.
Scientists from Dresden Technical University said they believe children may act as a “brake” on chains of infection.
Prof Reinhard Berner, the head of pediatric medicine at Dresden University Hospital and leader of the study, said the results suggested the virus does not spread easily in schools.
“It is rather the opposite,” Prof Berner told a press conference. “Children act more as a brake on infection. Not every infection that reaches them is passed on.”
The study tested 2,045 children and teachers at 13 schools — including some where there have been cases of the virus. But scientists found antibodies in just 12 of those who took part.
“This means that the degree of immunization in the group of study participants is well below 1 per cent and much lower then we expected,” said Prof Berner. “This suggests schools have not developed into hotspots.”
The findings are likely to be the subject of much public debate in Germany, with full class sizes planned to resume at schools across the country after the summer holidays.
“This means the majority of schoolchildren do not get infected themselves despite an infection in the household,” said Prof Berner.
“We have to take this finding into account when deciding on measures to limit social contact.”

I agree
You just identified the Group that has jeopardized our CFB Season this year
The NFL will find a way to make things work because they are paid Pros, but Colleges that hide behind the purity of Amateurism & Academia will have a much harder time moving forward with Games

If you want to blame someone for losing football, blame China. Don't use this disease as some virtue platform to wag your finger at people who don't like being told what to do. Dealing with that is part being in a free society.
I would rather have a free society based on individual rights and responsibilities than infinity number of college football seasons. Your priorities are out of order sir.

They are setting us up to cancel the season.
Nothing in those statements gives any hope that there will be football this fall.

What a load of BS!
This ain't about being told what to do, this is about following their Leader The Bunker Bitch just to antagonize the rest of the Country
If you're driving down the Road and hear sirens, you look in your rear-view, and see an Ambulance, most intelligent people immediately pull over when safe to clear the Lane because they know someone somewhere is in Medical distress, they pull over to DO THEIR PART to help a stranger they never met
This is the same ideology behind wearing masks, you do it to help people you don't know because it is the right thing to do, it's about doing your part to MAGA
Unfortunately the Trumpf-tards refuse to see it that way, "muh freedom" and "don't want no body telling me what to do.... "

Greg was on the radio with Clay Travis just got uploaded to Youtube and he sounded very positive actually. He seems to believe colleges in the SEC are doing a great job in containing the virus. We should hold out on assuming it's cancelled like I've seen people doing. He really sounds like they will exhaust everything they can do get it done. The reason he is waiting is because he has been told by bio-statisticians to hold off as long as humanly possible to make the best decision.
He wants to see how the NFL opens up, and kind of copy and mimic what works for them.
