His daughter graduated from State 4 years ago. She's a big Bulldog fan, but the old man ain't doing nothing to protect State. Sankey gave the Commencement Address at State couple years ago and refused to accept and ring a cowbell as is the custom under Keenum.

why the 13 other SEC schools would agree to Sankey if he is so bad

Horse shite!

LSU/AU haven't done a thing to force the SEC to change a damn thing. They won't say a word about SEC scheduling, the SEC offices in B'ham full of Bama grads, Bama paying the refs or anything else their fans whine about.

I will say AU's new AD has some balls, he broke historical tradition, took UGA to task and got the DSOR moved to earlier in the year.

In some ways I feel the same, but the reality of it is this: What can an SEC Commish do to be better?

Slive gets a lot of credit because he was in the job at the right time.... taking advantage of the new reality of how much money could be made in TV deals, etc.

But for the present, what do you want out of an SEC Commissioner?

A non-pussy that will be fair to every program in this league.

I will not say a word of praise about former LSU A.D. J. A. but he did bring up the scheduling issue every yr at the League's Spring Meetings. Not one A.D supported him but he did bring it up every year. And he did bitch, in house to avoid issues with the League office, about the quality of officiating, a LOT. He had no balls but LSU has bitched a lot about these things.

At last... one true statement by a LUSer. Good god you all are consistently the biggest crying whining excuse making ref blaming conspiracy theoreticians in the conference. EVERYTHING is proof that the SEC, NCAA, all the news media, the CFB playoff committee... indeed the whole world is in a plot against LSU.

Proof? Well look at how organized the prejudiced was against LSU’s perfectly justified use of the funds from Our Lady Of The Lake Nuns children cancer center. It is only reasonable that those funds be used to buy football recruits. After all, most of those cancer ridden kids won’t recover anyway. Only a biased world would think anything amiss in that.

44-16...

You mean “yes” to whatever Alabama wants.

Well of course... unless you have been on another planet or something the last century or so, you should know we, Alabama, run this shite and the rest of you just bend over and LIKE it. Through the REC we control not only the SEC office in Birmingham, But the SEC commish office, the referee association, the SEC (and all of NCAA D-1) schedulers, the weathermen, FBI, hot chocolate dispensers, replay reviewers, bowl game allocators, even the NCAA office and The CFB playoff committee. Do I even have to type that all media rankings, 247sports and the national recruiting rankings are under our control? NOOOooo.... I don’t think so!!!

You peons, also rans, wanna bees, never weres, has beens, bit and butt players, walk on, LUSers, window dressing propped up jack legged, jury rigged programs should have learned all this by now... but NOOOOOOoooooo, you have to biotch and whine and complain. You lower level grunt serfs carrying water for your pitiful subordinate teams once in a while still try to fight city hall, tug on superman’s cape, spit into the wind and even try to pull the mask off the ole lone ranger. But what do you get for it? What is it good for? Absolutely nothing ...

Give it up LUSers... accept your place, you will be happier that way.

I think that's the whole point Keltic. Until a time comes when ALL AD's from every program pushes for a massive change in this conference, it won't happen.

We will continue to see thread after thread rehashing these same topics about scheduling, cross-division rivalries, officiating, shaking up the divisions, etc. And no changes will be made because there are only a couple of programs that will stand behind a change.

I don't doubt Joe Alleva tried to bring the issues to the table, but when not even one AD out of 13 are willing support him then it falls off the table and gets shoved back on the kitchen pantry shelf.
