Watch it
He is very raw
Greg is a very good run blocking OT, big physical, was used a lot in pulling a lot of OG skill with quick feet, needs help with sweep he will have to show some great feet today and he will be 1st OT
That said I hope he falls to Tampa but we likely won't see either, I think both those guys are gone at 7
Jake Matthews is a little more polished and a better pass blocker but its close. I've said before its up to what you want if you run a lot of power run schemes and need a mauler to run block a lot it's Greg, a team like Indy, Denver, or any other pass happy team would want Matthews probably over Matthews.
NFL comparison of both Greg Robinson looks a lot like Jason Peters, Matthews looks a lot like Jordan Gross, both are great and should have phenomenal careers though
CyKo is VERY raw and he did lose money and wasn't as good in the bench as a lot of scouts thought already, he will likely run a good 40 today we will see but his technique is what a lot of GMs and scouts are gonna be watching, but I am still of the opinion that he should've stayed a year and that would've been if he went to and played at Auburn, Maryland or Bama don't care, he needed another year.
Pretty much in full agreement but disagree on a few things.
Greg has much more upside than Jake due to his athleticism. Jake is a very good pass blocker and has very good technique. Greg isn't as polished but due to how talented he is with a very good OL coach he has more upside than Jake.
CyKo is considered lazy by some in the draft, he's very talented but his technique is poor due to this talent. He's not faced many that are close enough to his talent that he had to really block, he will face DEs consistently as talented or more talented at the next level. When he's faced talented DEs he's failed in a major way. The NFL guys are questioning his work ethic due to this fact, he didn't improve at all during the IB to the OU game. Has potential but there are some major concerns about him.

What exactly is "much more upside" than an expected all pro OT, which is what Matthews is projected as. We are talking about two high level OL not two projects.

Rams should take Robinson. They have gone to a more power running style with Zac in backfield.
Yes. I should have included Robinson with Matthews and Watkins.
I'd be stunned if the Rams stay at 1.02

Lots of team always want to trade down.
The problem is finding a partner to do it.

I wish there was some way the Fins could get Robinson*. With a little mentoring from Incognito, there's no telling how good he could be.
*Seriously, the guy is a beast. I think he is much better than Matthews.

Teams would be happy with either but Greg is more talented by a decent margin considering the level of the two. He's stronger, more agile, bigger and faster than Jake. Jake hasn't peaked but he's closer to his peak than Greg is due to how polished his technique is. Greg is outstanding with poor hand placement and technique due to his athleticism. The belief is that if Greg were as polished with hand technique he'd be much better than Jake due to his athleticism. Again teams would be happy with either if they life up to expectations.

congrats on having him go 4th instead of 5th. means he will have a MUCH better career than Matthews and he is a MUCH better player than Matthews

Y'all (Auburn) are an odd, insecure bunch.
Best of luck to Robinson--I'm sure he'll have a great career.

Y'all have a pretty poor memory about threads regarding Matthews in November/December. When we'd bring up Robinson in those threads, the derisive laughter from the Ags was heard from coast-to-coast.
So, yeah, its not re-visiting y'all Ag's former attitude... its AU "insecurity". Sure.

"All-Pro" is a rudimentary label.
Robinson has more upside because he has a level of power and strength to his game that Matthews can not and will not be able to match. Matthews is more technically sound (and consistent), but you're never going to be able to train him to physically dominate defenders like Robinson can. Robinson is a freak athletically, the notion is that you can coach him to be as fundamentally sound as Matthews is. That is the difference.
Matthews is a nice prospect, but you're not going to find very many 330 pound tackles who carry the weight effortlessly and move like Robinson can.

Robinson still needs to prove he can pass protect

Yeah still a definite question. I didn't notice it in the season but watching these videos that highlight him in pass protection versus various blitz packages you see he relies on athletic ability more than technique right now. That'll change with good coaching.

Definitely. There's no question he's a freak athletically, with good coaching and a year or two of seasoning he will be an All Pro.

I don't have a clue about what you're talking (re: Robinson)--and I can't speak to what another Ag may have said about one of your players. Far as I know, some called him the worst player to ever start at Auburn?
All I know is: The shite that was talked about Manziel was unspeakable; and I couldn't care less.
No clue why so many on this board are so hellbent to make others think as they do. Every SEC thread is some iteration of, "Who is the best? Which band is the loudest? Which coach will be most missed? Which state is the most diverse? Whose throwback uni is most authentic? Which QB has the greatest shoelaces? Would you rather be a nike or ADIDAS school?"
It's non-stop insecurity.
Comparing two stud future NFLers is foolhardy, that's all.
Enjoy your guy & raise your glass go the rest.
