3rd down at the end of the game, Gurley is down between the 29 and 30:
Tennessee calls time out and when play resumes on 4th down, the ball is spotted at the 26:

4th and 3 should have been 4th and 7. Would Richt still had gone for it on 4th and 7?
How do they make mistakes like this on a consistent basis?

your first photo shows tennessee not having any timeouts remaining.. how did they call a timeout?

Time to quit blaming officials. Hold onto the ball. Wrap up.
Officials didn't cost you guys the game. They didn't help, but they are not the reason Vols lost. Anyone that watched the game knows this.

Maybe they didn't call a timeout then. They must have been out. Either way ball got spotted 3 and a half yards from where Gurley was down.

Let's play hypotheticals. We take it 4th and 7. We kick a short field goal. You have 23 seconds to drive the length of the field and score a touchdown. This play didn't cost you the game. Fumbling in your own endzone did that.
