I just hope that both teams have fun

I saw something similar but with Indiana. Looks more like a tactic to get people to bet Texas…
I still think Texas wins especially if Pen St wins but we will see.

Every day I feel more confident about UT winning. It should be a great game.

I have never had less faith going into a big game. Just going to show up, yell, and hope for the best.
ETA - yes, somehow I have even less faith than when Bama came into Austin week 1 a couple years ago.

Michigan #13 Oklahoma #19 Both rank better than ASU and Georgia on YPG
This really doesn’t help your case, and actually backs mine up. You didn’t light either of those teams up on the ground, they just aren’t great teams. You had a 55 yard run on a reverse against Michigan. You ran for 88 yards on 30 Carries outside of your reverse to Wingo. Oklahoma essentially same thing. You have 1/3 of your rushing yards on one huge run and it’s not like you ran for 300 on them it was like 170.
To beat a a very good Ohio state team that is clicking I’d imagine you’d have to be clicking on the ground is what I’m saying. And I don’t see Texas doing that against Ohio State. I think Texas best shot at winning is if they can jsut make it a low scoring defensive grind game

Exactly. We put too much pressure on these children. Why can't we just let them have fun.

This exactly. Our only shot is a low scoring defensive battle. We aren't going to run at OSU. Quinn also isn't going to light them up. It's going to take a monstrous defensive effort. It's our only shot.

I'm feeling as confident as this guy.

145 and 170 would both get the job done against Ohio State.

100 on the ground keeps you in the game. That means you're not getting blown out and forced to throw.

I agree with you here. Ohio State is statistically the best defense at defending the outside zone. Texas' most successful rushing play is the outside zone.

Texas runs a pro-style spread offense, which doesn't exist in the B1G
Texas and Michigan run the exact same defense, 4-2-5 hybrid with a shifting d-line (edge rusher to traditional ends and DT/NT with different techs/responsibilites) based on matchup, opponent scheme/formation and down/distance. Ohio State runs a more simplistic, traditional 4-2-5 that isn't fluid at the ends. All 3 teams have comparable talent on defense, but Ohio State lacks reserve edges (Sawyer & Tuimoloau are traditional) talented enough to run the variable form
Ohio State couldn't move the ball vs Michigan. Penn State runs a traditional 4-2-5 and Ohio State struggled against them as well
The Texas pro-spread torched Michigan in week 2, no matter what front was thrown at them. The line stopped the run, but couldn't get pressure with 4 and Ewers had a picnic. And when they blitzed, they were picked apart via screens and TE/slot hot routes

I think Texas wins. Not because they are better but gambling destiny points that way. Everytime it's a sure thing it's not. When OSU played Tenn they were walking on their lips because they lost to Michigan. Heard how their heart wasn't in it. Then already lost to Oregon and played their A game already. Another surprise. Texas looks average, Ewers looks average and referee aided ASU game makes Texas look like they can't run with the Buckeyes. This is why I believe the Longhorns will win, because they shouldn't.
I think like this all the time. How often does a line that seems like a no brainer pan out that way this late in the season?
Mizzou? Beat OSU in the Bowl game.

Oregon had -23 rushing yards. I will take 100 rushing yards.

lot of text. 1/ Can we block Ohio State better than we did against Georgia, and 2/ can Jahdae stay with Jeremiah Smith.

Thinking this OSU team is the same as the PSU and Michigan one is the problem. They scraped a lot of the stuff that wasn't working (like you mentioned). They are running less zone blocking for the OL and that has helped. They are also moving Smith around to create better matchups. Against Michigan he was basically only playing outside, while in the Rose he was running all over the place to create mismatches.
Day and Kelly are calling a very good offense right now. People say OSU has looked really good in the first two rounds, and their offenses took the foot off the gas by halftime against Oregon and by the end of the 3rd against Tenn.
