Roger Goodell just got a contract extension. Why? He got it because he's paid to take heat for his bosses, the team owners.
Sankey is no different. His bosses are the university presidents. He's doing what they told him to do. Look at the vote total.

quote:True. Folks don't seem to understand the conference's slide. Kramer was a visionary. Slive was a manager. And, Sankey's a puppet.

No doubt. The rest of the SEC is mad, that's echoed by their fans here.
They can't actually articulate anything tangible that they're so angry about, but they're definitely mad.

Goodell has probably read the rule book.

Under Goodell the NFL increased revenue by the billions. Under Sankey the SEC has lost footing in the market. Got out manuevered by the BIG10 for a better media contract and now has egg all over his face as he is being drug by media for his lack of knowledge of the situation, lack of control of situation and making it worse by threatening expulsion for no violation. yea same thing SMH

And current position of those said presidents is that they should get to have a say on how the state of Louisiana runs LSU: something they would never tolerate at their own schools. Their current position is also that they can ignore state court rulings in a state that runs one of its member institutions.
Let me know how that works out for them.
