I don’t like the OT rules so I like going for 2.

If OT is going to be part of football, do it like the pros.

Could just be me, but it seemed like at least 4 of the Arkansas players on the field just stood there to watch the outcome. One O-lineman in particular completely whiffed on his block and instantly became a spectator. I don't know if it was the play call or the execution, but either way it wasn't good.

On the road and you have a chance to win it right there after the score because both defenses were suspect. It’s was not a bad decision just a poorly executed play.

I definitely like it if it’s the last play of the game or extremely minimal time left like yesterday

It was a called screen and some people decided to freelance

The play call was not the issue

I like the decision to go for it 100%.
Would have preferred a run. KJ is a load and we have some backs (especially Johnson) that wouldn't be stopped in any space at all on the edge. Oh well.

While Burks was blatantly held (go rewatch) they called ineligible lineman downfield...and he was. By rights the play should have been redone.

But...Hogs lost to a team that they should have beaten easily because their defense just didn't adjust to the counter play Ole Miss started running. That pulled the safeties up and Corral hit a couple shots. Kudos to Ole Miss.

Good decision, bad judgment on the play call

My opinion is that it was the correct call. I'd've gone for it, too.

Bert did it in the 4th and 25 game in 2015 to win the game, coincidentally by an identical score to what it would’ve been if the Hogs had converted.

Similar circumstances — he didn’t do it at the end of regulation but in the first OT period. Same situation in that it was a back and forth game where we couldn’t stop their offense and were on the road, so he opted to avoid a on OT shootout and go for the win.

Should've thrown it all at the wall and call a pistol set with the most agile 300 pounder you have as a 1 back set next to KJ. Run KJ and see what happens.

Ole Miss won the game but Ole Miss is not the better team

That’s debatable, but the Rebels never trailed in the 2nd half, while Arkansas had to score every possession to remain in a position to pull out a victory at the end…what is NOT debatable is that both of these squads are gonna destroy the team you pull for

I was totally against it at the time, after reading this post I changed my mind. Sam had the guts to go for it, just didn’t call the right play.

the ole miss DB held Burks on the play or you'd have seen an easy conversion. should have been a penalty.

Finding an excuse for your team to lose to Ole Miss isn't looking good for you. More losses is coming for Arkansas. Trust me it isn't all bad. Move on and focus on the next game.

I mean…Sam even said it that this was his play they felt good about all week. Bad execution…

That said…Direct Snap to KJ and run and dive up the gut.

The play call was SUSPECT

Y’all had a run pass option that had worked earlier in the game with that same down and distance. Jefferson threw it into the end zone for the score. Also had a shovel pitch or could run it himself.

I love the call. Sometimes it just does not work out.

Guess they missed the pick on the TD play.
