Arkansas wasn't going to stop Ole Miss. They had a chance to win and took it. It's a ballsy play but Imo the 2pt conversion gave them the best chance to win.

No, not with a QB like that. He’s a nice player and they use him well but you don’t put a play like that on him. You go to OT with a congested field and slug it out with Ole Miss. if you believe you’re the better team the more plays there are in the game favors you. It’s fake confidence what he did, desperate. Real confidence would’ve been to take Ole Miss into the deep water and drown their asses.

General thoughts? I saw a lot of support for Pittmans decision yesterday based on his defense not stopping the Rebs. I've personally always hated when coaches do it.
I think its a dumbass move. Kick the ball and take it to OT

It didn’t show balls it showed fear. He was scared to go on so he decided to end the game.

If you are away you go for the two point conversion. If you are home you probably hold put

Hell, we saw the Lions do this today against the Vikings and they got the 2 points.

But left the Vikings 30 seconds too many and Minnesota drove for the winning field goal.

Because Detroit LOL.

I liked the call by Titboss. They weren't stopping Ole Miss. As someone pointed out in overtime you'd have to go for 2 before long anyway. He made the right call but Briles' play call was not great. The lineman downfield certainly thought they should have run it.

Spilled milk now.

the ole miss DB held Burks on the play or you'd have seen an easy conversion. should have been a penalty.

no it wouldn't because one of your dumbass lineman got penalized for being an ineligible receiver.

Stop being such a baby bitch. Every team gets away with penalties during games.

Including yours. I saw a number of times where Arkansas people held, pushed off, etc and didn't get a call.

Maybe worry more that you were supposed to have a good defense and gave up 52 in regulation.

You're missing the fact that we scored 52 points already with them in regulation.

The only thing that's drowning is your stupidity.

Pittman is in his first year ever as a college HC.

I like the decision. Pittman is not a puss. Go for the win!

It's hilarious when people claim that going for 2 shows no confidence in the defense.

I would argue kicking the XP shows you have no confidence in your offense to get 2 yards.

I'm fine with it BUT you need to have a really good play tucked in your back pocket that you have practiced all year saved for a special occasion and you know is going to work - like the Boise statue of liberty play. Don't just throw a corner fade to a crappy receiver or tell your QB to roll to the short side and see if you can find anyone open.

Where there can be ties?

Football has had ties for a long time.

Go for two if you don’t like it.

OT rules reduce the strategic aspects of football, mainly field position. Kicking game is a big part of football.

For OT, kickoff and play just like the rest of it.

The choice to go for it was right. Passing instead of running was full retard.

Yep, it reminded me of when Georgia tried to pass for a TD inside the 5 yard line against S Carolina when they had freakin Todd Gurley in the backfield. They played their self

I didn’t like the decision to go for 2, but we’d likely still be playing had he not

Pittman was right to go for two but Briles had his head up his arse on that play call. Way too much going on when you have a monster hybrid qb/rb, a good line and only need to pick up three yards.
