You sound like a pussy to me.

It’s weird that LSU is still melting about a win 3 years later.

Sad.

Welp looks like many have already made up their minds about this atmosphere and Texas fans.

Will happily interact with and offer beer and food to any Bama fans that happen by our tailgate. Just as we did for LSU fans.

It's great that you're cool, but the only other Texas fan in this thread offered dildos instead of drinks/food and is somehow saying all the SEC teams that have kicked the shite out of Texas lately are somehow scared to play them.

You've got a lot of obnoxious Texas fans to overcome just on this board alone.

Subtle sign, veiled in care for pets, to tell my people to wear shoes. We can't always be Texas fancy.

Burned feet or not. Saban is bringing an arse whooping to Austin

Why spew stuff like this when you know Texas is going to get their arses kicked when they play Alabama?

Hard to explain the Texas fans but you did a pretty good job. They aren't openly friendly like the fans we know LSU to have and that's ok. The thing that bothered me if anything is that they are fairly arrogant as we already know that. Helped make the win that much better.

I think people have their minds up after the last couple weeks of 100 plus temps that standing in a football stadium at 11AM in Austin, Texas in early September is a bad idea.

If this were an evening kickoff it would be one of the hardest non-championship tickets to get in a couple years IMO.

In other words, this is Fox's fault, not Texas. I honestly wonder if Texas leaving for the SEC played some role in them sticking this as an early kickoff?

Not much to wonder about, really. Their meal tickets are leaving. In spite of what you have heard, the Big 12 hasn’t done UT any favors in a while.

1. Welcome to Austin.

2. Be smart. It’s only July 12. We have already had 32 days over 100, 110 yesterday and 109 today, broke a record from 1917. By early September, DKR, that massive hunk of concrete, will have been sitting in the sun and 95+ heat for damn near a 100 days. Those seats are gonna be the hottest things in town. Ha ha!

3. Grab a cold beverage and find some shade near the water, or some a/c. Austin has a lot of water features, but we’re already in drought conditions. I’m sure there’s a Bama-centric bar around here somewhere.

3. It’s football. Should be entertaining. Lots of quality athletes on the field .

4. Ala-fricking-bama coming to Austin. First time since 1922. Come early, stay late, and …

5. Night game would have been so much better, but Saturday night in Austin can be fun.

6. UT campus is 10 blocks from the State Capitol (Flagship stuff) in a very urban area that is not conducive to centralized tailgating. Manage your expectations.

7. Allow some time to see the UT Atlhetics Hall of Fame in the North’s side of the stadium. Johntay was right, we do have a lot of swimming trophies. I 100% promise you’ll understand us better after you go there than before.

8. Please leave it better than you found it.

This whole thread is a microcosm of what you get with Texas and its fans, every summer, Texass is back, and no amount of reality can derail that hype train. Save for Mojo, OU fans are not this obnoxious and at least we have a winning tradition to back it up. I am telling you this, Texass is going to take it dry in September, and though I think OU would fare better and have at least keep it competitive for a while, they'd lose to Bama in Norman this year. It is a rebuilding year for us, but even with that we will likely beat Texass (again).
