If as you say the guy in your avatar is Texas' QB I can't imagine a 9th grade team being scared of Texas.

I had fun tailgating off campus at the LSU bar parties then walking to campus and hanging out there. Their fans’ tailgates are by far the lamest I’ve ever witnessed but walking around campus with a beer and grabbing food from the food trucks was fun.

It’s going to be hotter than hades. I actually had to visit the stadium nurses for a mild allergic reaction to something and the room was completely full with people suffering heat exhaustion. It wasn’t a pleasant scene.

Their fans aren’t super friendly and don’t interact with visitors much but that was fine with us. They were seriously pissed that we had 4th row seats in the Letterman section and every call against them was “horrible” but the trip was fun overall.

I choose to believe you were scared of us, rather than a virus. I keep more respect for LSU that way. It's just hard for us (good) Texas folk to wrap our minds around forfeiting games because of a virus

This is funny considering Texas ran away from Kansas that same year:

quote:

The Kansas football season came to an abrupt conclusion Thursday afternoon, two days before the Jayhawks’ would-be finale versus Texas.
The Longhorns shut down football operations on Thursday, UT Athletic Director Chris Del Conte announced, due to a COVID-19 spike, with nine players and 13 staff members testing positive for the virus, along with 14 other players and 15 more staffers isolating due to contact tracing.

Kansas remembered and made them pay for it with that 58 point beat down the next year

Sounds like we were more scared of Kansas than LSU...but that makes sense. They're a tougher opponent.

I mean, both whipped your arse last time you played them, so I guess that's a fair point.

That checks out since you've lost to Kansas twice in the last decade and only once to LSU.

And the only program with a losing record to the other 3 schools mentioned here is Arkansas.

Yet Arkansas has had a winning record over Texas going back the last 3 & 1/2 decades...

The Arkansas BASKETBALL team had more players taken by the NFL this past April than Texas Football did.

I thought the concrete jungle which is a lot of the tailgating spots for UT games was miserable 3 years ago. Welp it will be worse for an 11am kickoff and not the 7pm setup we had scheduled. Probably will be 5 degrees warmer as well. Can’t imagine paying a bunch of money for a trip to visit a city and watch my team play in what will feel like ur on the damn sun. God Speed

I won't be going to that liberal shite hole for an 11 am kick. Frick that.

Texas has no lower level tickets for visiting fans. Plus the student section is behind the visitor's sideline.. That will change when they enter the SEC

Welp looks like many have already made up their minds about this atmosphere and Texas fans.

Will happily interact with and offer beer and food to any Bama fans that happen by our tailgate. Just as we did for LSU fans.
