Not bitter at all. Game didn’t do anything for me. I think it effects UGA more as they could not erase the 1980 stigma. Oklahoma had their chance and failed.

You know, seriously, for a program that has dominated Texas as far back as you can go, you sure seem to be joined at the hip with the longhorns. What is the psychological and emotional pull here to always play second fiddle to these azzhats?

You could have been in the SEC years ago and yet chose to stand with Texas when even your natural rival Nebraska got out of town over the Texas stranglehold.

Have you guys ever had a single football thought without the longhorns holding your hands?

The correct response was "1980".

You have a lot to learn if you want to join this conference.

The whole SEC has been begging to regain the Okmulgee and Tishomingo TV markets. This is a dream come true. We are rich!

Rule #1: Only one team in the SEC wears Crimson and they don’t reside in Norman.

Rule #2: If you join the SEC, you have to grow a spine and not be relying on a Shorthorn hand up your back controlling your every move like a puppet.

Rule #3: Until you win something, remember that you are all hat and no cattle at the 40 acres and you are no different than our current orange UT: a program with past glory but irrelevant for the last 20 years.

You need to go head to head against Bama in the regular season. Every year, year after year.

Baylor and TCU won the Big XII. As a soon as A&M left, the XII became crap. Had A&M stayed, they could have added some hardware.

A&M contributed NOTHING to the BIG XII. The league didn't "become crap" when they left. The only one of those four teams that was in any way competitive, was Mizzou under Pinkel. What conference were you watching?

And A&M adding hardware if they stayed?

I would really like to have OU in the SEC but not Texas. Would OU come without the horns? We have a great conference wherein every member is as important as any other. That’s our strength. I just can’t see Texas playing well with others.

Big XII from 2010-present was nothing compared to its dominance from 1996-2009. And the Aggies had some better years in the early days of the XII. Their 90s record is nothing to scoff at. Thank goodness for Torrance Marshall in 2000, otherwise the Aggies would have diminished OU’s title dreams.

Why was Texas A&M University excoriated by the Big 12 and its members for saying the same? We were “running,” I believe was the language used

Because A&M DID run away from the big 12. It’s a completely different situation. OU is obviously not running away from a conference they absolutely owned.

The aggies were good when the entire south division was down in the 90s. That was it.
