Softball and volleyball are entertaining. I can watch if those are on. Women's basketball is awful.

Volleyball is the only womens sport that is worth watching for action and athleticism.

I'll watch it if nothing else on TV is better and it's my team.
Question: Why do they take their leads with the FRONT foot on the front of the base? Unless I'm missing something it makes no sense to give up two feet.
Second, I can't stand the running swings. Yeah, I get that the bases are short and you can slap a grounder and get a running start, but...nevermind.

They do it to get a running start with more push off the bag. They time it where front foot is landing as pitch leaves the hand.

Softball is vastly superior to baseball. Baseball you spend half the time watching a pitcher check the runner, throw for a pickoff that never works then the batter has to adjust everything get set then we have to repeat the whole thing over again. THAT is a snooze fest

Yes it is but weed out the dude girls and there are still lots of thickly butts on the field which helps pass the time.

Roscoe, thanks. Oh, I didn't know they could start before the pitch but if they can get the front foot down I get it.
