Unless we pushed for something different, he will get the same COVID transfer benefits that anyone else is getting.

TBob was hinting this morning that he may not be academically eligible.

Huge gray area, no one really knows. If typical he will have to sit being an SEC to SEC transfer, especially one we play every year. Also his possible suspension status cant help him out with a waiver probably.

Who knows what the NCAA will do, it wouldn't surprise me if they granted him immediate eligbility

I thought transferring within the conference was a different hurdle.

At this moment, who cares. Hes not our problem anymore. Sit out or dont sit out. Time for us to move one and focus on this kids we have and want to be here. Hes Florida's problem now.

Was his exit due to academics or positive tests? Anyone with any insight here?

The NCAA will do it if, it hurts LSU.

But it doesn’t really hurt LSU. Let him play and declare for the draft in two years. We have to play against him either way.

It is. Partly why so many Tennessee players are going to Oklahoma.

This is completely unknown right now. The NCAA’s blanket waiver for 2021 that came out in December looks like it only covers Spring sports. They were supposed to rule on one-time waivers going forward in January but didn’t, so it’s possible that they reverse course and decide not to open this up. That, or they are debating adding restrictions.

Second, even after this, the SEC can block one-time waivers in-conference. If fact, after the Gilbert circus, I have a feeling that they will. If so, then he’s out for a year no matter what.

As for the UT players mentioned in another post, even if the one-time waivers are shelved, it’s possible they can get special waivers because of UT’s coaching change and incoming probation. Players have gotten that in similar situations in the past.

Flunk him in everything. 0.0 GPA to fight back from. Make him have to make straight A’s.

Well since the kid leaves a trail of pussy juice behind him anywhere he goes he’s probably hoping he has to sit out hear so he only has to play one more year and then bolt for the NFL. That way his body won’t hurt so much.

Surprised he didn't try the Justin Fields trick to get immediate eligibility.

Because LSU can prove it was something else. Fields didn't have a suspension waiting and terrible grades.

Was it something else or is this just pure Rant speculation?
