I am not familiar with the man.... who is he?

One of the best RH batters of my youth. SEC legend

Belle was always a head case. His latest incident only adds to that reputation.

Looks like he's been eating a lot of pancakes, too.

You shouldn't just feel old. You need to come to terms with it if you have any idea who this guy is.
I came to this thread expecting a pic of bald jay barker or something not some guy 95% of the board has never heard of lol

How young you two must be
Albert "Joey" Belle. Probably the best baseball player that has come thru LSU. Unfortunately for him he still seems to have major issues that has plagued him his whole life. He is 51 and looks like he is 65

I will give you that he looks like 2028 Curtis Payne.

Seriously? he was one of the absolute best power hitting outfielders for the Cleveland Indians. Horrible temper, but great talent. Played at LSU, and during an SEC Tournament was heckled in the outfield by some rival fans (Want to say Miss. State fans) and climbed the fence to go after them.
Very unlikable, but could hit the baseball a mile and a half. My guess would be steroids.

Yes. Same guy. he was called both at one time or other. I think he was most often called Albert once he made the majors, but heard him called Joey from time to time, too.

Yes...Albert Bell. OP is playing the “old” card, likely knowing that most people wouldn’t remember that Bell was Joey when he first came to the league...he got in some sort of trouble which I don’t recall completely. Drugs or domestic abuse or something and missed some time...when he came back, he was Albert. I am guessing that re-branding was in the hopes that people would have forgotten what a train wreck Joey Bell had been.
One of you LSU fans correct me if any of that is incorrect, as I am going completely from memory...and I’m old.
