If this cat's name was Bobby Jones and not Teo Manti, does anyone even notice him?

I hope not. Teo is a good player, but JFF may be one of those generational type players.

Get ready for it. The Irish hype machine is at full tilt, judging from the awards made thus far.

I posted this in another thread just for a comparison.

Te'o stats:
103 Total Tackles (52 solo), 5.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 7 INTs

Kevin Minter's stats:
111 Total Tackles (48 solo), 13.5 TFL, 3.0 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF

I will say this though.

If TeO does win the Heisman, Notre Dame will get blasted worse than Troy Smith did.

So INTs aren't a noteworthy stat for a defensive player? I don't know the numbers for either, just wondering if you have a reason for not including them.

Maybe you edited or I missed it the first time. Sorry.

Why does this word get thrown around soo much?? I have seen 3 "generational type players" since 2005..
