OP failed to mention that the last time TAMU beat UGA it was with Paul Bryant in 1954. The last meeting in 2019 was an arse kicking by UGA.

It wasnt an arse kicking by uga to be fair.
I use that A&M game as reason 743 why Dan Mullen sucks.
That same year down by about the same score with the same amount of time on the clock, Dan Mullen goes on a 10 minute drive so he can tell the reporters that he only lost by 7 points (UGA of course bleeds 4+ minutes of clock and finishes in the V formation).

Under the exact same circumstances, both Jimbo and Gus run hurry up offenses and both actually get the ball back with a chance to take the lead. UGA prevails. But it was a coaching clinic in 2019 about how poor a head coach Dan Mullen was. But Dan got his quote in to the media that the difference between UGA and UF was 7 points.

UGA was the best team in America by a wide margin last year and deserved to be national champions. I don't see them going anywhere. Not saying they are a dynasty but they certainly have won games that Richt didn't. They were the best team, they won the title, I saw no protection. whats wrong with the best team winning it all? The playoffs worked perfectly last year

Exactly. This is what separates Richt and Kirby. Richt is a damn fine coach and a great person but his teams did not get up for big games.

Georgia’s pathetic record- SEC protecting these wussies needs to end…
In the last 10 years, GA has played Bama ONCE in Tuscaloosa, (17 pt loss) ONCE in Baton Rouge (20 pt loss) and seven times in Atlanta where they are 1-6.

So, no road trip to A&M in 10 years, only two road trips total against LSU and Bama, and a record of 1-8 on the road or in the “championship”.

Maybe a NC will give Birmingham confidence the only decent team in the East can actually compete now on the road.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say this is the SEC Rant version of "17 year old kids". "Let's get them talking about something else other than the Aggie collective."

I don't often agree with a steer, but this is one of those times.

Aggie has not even played in the SECCG. Not talking winning it, hasn't played in it. Mizzou, Arkansas, S. Carolina have all done that.

The recruiting title is nothing, yet you'd think they are the next big thing.

UGA, before that 2018 class was signed, was SEC champs and headed to the playoff.

I mean, do something more than just get a huge upset victory. If you're where you think you are, then beating Alabama is not a "huge upset" but something people believe could actually happen.

It might be helpful to explain to him the divisions and how the scheduling works.

To let them and Mizzou in, we had to give up a home game to Auburn.

East teams don't play West teams as often as West teams play West teams. And unlike some schools, geographically, we do belong in the East.

East was way stronger in the 90s, trends, never thought i would see UT and UF at their current levels.

Exactly. What are the powers that be supposed to do?

Move LSU or Bama to the East?

Move UGA to the West to make the East complete arse?

39ers havent even made atlanta, hell Missouri made a couple. They are another version of Ole Miss.

Appears Mizzou was the far better choice.

I agree. This is what a team like yours calls a moral victory. Congrats!!!

Not a victory in any way. Just wouldn’t say we “kicked a teams arse” if we beat them by 6 points at home.

We lost by 6. I can’t remember the exact play but there was blatant bad call that of course went the undefeated SEC teams way in the end zone. I’m pretty sure a TD swing by the refs is pretty important in a close game but I’m not rocket scientist.

Got blown out in the first game and won the second in a close one with injuries being a major factor.

And, Bama had the ball with less than a minute with a chance to tie the game.

The SEC has always been Bama/UGA/Tenn/Refs with the window corner offices with the rest in windowless cubicles. If you look at scheduling since 2012 expansion you will see. As long as you don't have blinders on.

UGA 2012 - 2022
vs Bama 1 home 1 away
vs AU 5 home and 6 away
vs LSU 1 home and 1 away
vs aTm 1 home and 0 away

UF 2012 - 2022
vs Bama 1 home and 1 away
vs AU 1 home and 0 away
vs LSU 6 home and 5 away
vs aTm 1 home and 3 away

Take out the cross division rivalries and UGA has played 5 games against the rest of the top west teams, 60% of those games at home.

While UF has 7 games against the rest of the top west teams, 57% of those games away.

No way to spin it other than SEC suck at trying to keep scheduling fair as possible. When all said and done they protect a few schools.

They were overrated last year. Tennessee had WRs running wide open all game long and so did Bama in the SECCG when they were healthy. Hooker just had an off day because of an injury on his throwing hand and the pass rush ofcourse.

Any good passing team with a good oline is going to give them FITS this year.
