In fairness, Overton reclassified and we already had the guys we wanted. I wish we did get him, but it was too late.
We never went after Johnson.
Bouie we had and he flipped to A&M. We really wanted him at WR, though. He'll be a good pickup for A&M. A&M is doing great on the recruiting trail. You had a great class last year.

Texas A&M is a fine school with a fine program and yes, you are a cultural "fit" within the SEC. So is Texas. So is Oklahoma.
The problem is.....lately, A&M has taken on a Texas-Austin attitude toward the rest of the conference. I think all the bashing from LSU and Arkansas towards you has created this and its regrettable.
I've always been in A&M's corner, but lately it's been a head-turner for me. I also think the rest of the conference needs to lay off y'all a bit, too.
A&M's a great addition to the SEC. Tip: All the bashing from your rivals usually reveals more about THEM than it does you. Remember that. :)

I mean, we are 19-10 vs those schools since joining the SEC. Not like we’ve dominated but we’ve already been “competing” with them.

All I did was present the facts. If you took offense to them, that’s not my fault.
I think everyone would want to see best vs. best regular season SEC matchups, regardless of division.
I’d like to host Georgia at Kyle and be able to make a game in Athens, win or lose.

Not sure why A&M would want to add Georgia to their schedule when chances are they would just cancel the game to protect their bowl chances.

That has nothing to do with whether the instate school wanted the player. There are top 10 recruits in La every year that LSU does not put a lot of emphasis on. I’m sure it’s the same in Ga and Fl etc
