I really think this game is going to be closer than a lot of people think. One thing you never count out is when a team starts to believe, and LSU has that right now.
They have some serious swagger going on.

Should be a really good game. UGA's team depth will be the deciding factor.

Dammit. Why won't UGA believe? If only we could get them to do that the sky's the limit

Nobody disputes that UGA is the better team, what the OP is saying is that LSU won't fold up and go away. They've been behind double digits in a couple games they came back to win, and win impressively. So if UGA jumps out 17-3 in the 1st quarter, don't start celebrating too quickly. Expect a response from LSU.

UGA is loaded. I hope we make it a good game but it’s gonna be extremely tough to win.

Insane Kelly got us there year 1. Wild man.

But UGA is incredible, gonna be extremely hard to beat. Fantastic team.

If the defense can keep it low scoring and maybe cause some turnovers then I like our chances in a one score game at the end. If UGA gets out to a big lead early like LSU has been prone to let happen at times this year, I don't see us making a comeback on that UGA defense.

We should be able to keep it respectable.

They certainly did against Ut. They didn’t appear to want to play that game.

You may be right, OR it could be a beat down…but damn, it feels good to get to this game this year. No one expected this, especially LSU.

Msu was a mild annoyance after a big game with UT. Lsu will have our full attention.

You better hope like hell that I don't join the SEC Champ game thread for LSU. You will lose 100% if I do.

I wouldn't put much stock in the Arkansas game. They had to clear ice from the field before the game started. The offense performed much better in the last few games before that. Of course, we haven't played a defense at UGA's level yet either.

It would be a mistake to expect that, and I hope Georgia thinks they can do that to LSU.

Yes, Tennessee jumped up early and ran away with the game.
Tennessee is on a comparable level to Alabama and Ole Miss (Tenn barely beat Bama, in a game Bama wins if they hit the 50 yd FG. And Ole Miss was neck-and-neck with Bama, could have won if they complete the pass late in the redzone).
AFTER Tennessee put a whipping on LSU, LSU could have laid down in similar fashion against either or both of those teams.
Ole Miss jumped out 14-3 after 1 quarter, was up 17-3 before you got comfortable on the couch with a sandwich and drink. LSU won 45-20, turned that game completely around and blew the Reb's doors off.
Alabama game, against an opponent used to winning, expecting to win, LSU stayed tough all game, and matched every late score Bama made to take the lead.

Teams sometimes get surprised when they step up in competition; 2018 LSU got waxed by Bama, then beat UGA pretty solidly (and Bama and UGA were comparable). UGA last year flipped the script on Bama, getting handled in the first game, then pulling away the second time. Tennessee was the first of several big games we played.

I fully expect a double digit win by UGA, but if LSU can hang with UGA the first Qtr and a half, LSU could make it very interesting. The coaches have done a very good job making in-game adjustments and from a conditioning standpoint LSU looks to get stronger over the course of the game.

Arkansas was a hangover game and the UAB game is going to be sloppy because it's going to be wet and cold Saturday night. I expect LSU to play a better game vs aggie, but A&M will play hard since it's their last opportunity to finish the season on a positive.

Are you sure? This game will matter a lot more for LSU than UGA. If it wasn't for the trophy, it might as well be an exhibition game for UGA
