Smart move to bet on Gus Malzahn shitting the bed. We've literally seen it happen every year he has been our hc.

You're making it hard to be nasty This is DSOR week...come on!

QB poor against pressure: Blitzing LB or suddenly free DE closes in, QB panics, eyes go down, and is sacked.

QB good against pressure: Blitzing LB or suddenly free DE closes in, QB steps up in the pocket, gets rid of the ball quickly and accurately, no sack.

Take for example AU's Clemson and A&M games. We Aubbies would like to think the differences in sacks vs. Stidham's completion percentage in the two games, one early in the season and one most recent, both against teams who have good pass rushing stats, indicate he is improving against pressure.

By nature I don't like being nasty. Sometimes I am...but I don't try to be.

Actually, I would say it is a clear indication of improvement. Your Oline is much better than it was earlier. That's what has me worried, honestly.

I'll try to do a bit more trolling and less being reasonable, though.

And better play design/play calling.

Coward. A real man puts his head across on the ball, clubs up and runs through. He didn't want any of that contact....

No he didn't. but I think he had an injured shoulder and wasn't expected to play. He probably shouldn't have played if he couldn't tackle any better than that with his shoulder. He actually hurt his team by going out on the field.

Biggest equalizer:
auburn-sec West
Georgia-sec east

East is shite. But so is Gus and Stidham was supposed to be the next Camessiah. Auburn keeps it close but Gus shits the bed by taking over play calling at a critical juncture.

History? What does that even mean? Your history is never coming through when it matters for going on 4 decades.

Record? That's not an intangible.

Confidence? Maybe, but that can be a dangerous thing when going on the road and when that confidence is built on the back of beating nothing but terrible teams for the last two months.

Momentum, ok I'll give you that one.

Something to play for? Auburn is playing for the exact same thing as UGA but with less room for error.

You don't know much about football, do you? If this were an all star game, I might be concerned, but as far as I know only Georgia and Auburn will be on the field Saturday.
You are really making the rest of the Alabama fan base look bad.

Let's look at Run D.

Clemson kept 3 opponents under 100 yards rushing.
Auburn kept 3 opponents under 100 yards rushing.
Georgia kept 6 opponents under 100 yards rushing.

Let's fine tune that. How many opponents did each keep under 65 rush yards?

Clemson: 1 (Auburn)
Auburn: 0
Georgia: 6

When it comes to stuffing the run, GA's elite. Dawgs hold KJ under 100 & put the game on Stidham. And GA's lack of sacks is deceptive. They rush 3 & 4 and drop the rest into coverage. That's why the rating for opposing QB's is around 25.

I think the game will start out tough, but I can see the dawgs jumping out ahead and running away with the game, they much tougher than auburn, jmo.

You do understand what the record has been the past 10 years, right? Intangible. Do you understand what that is? It means it has nothing to do with talent, but with things that cannot be attributed to solid criteria. History would be an intangible in this game.

quote:

Record? That's not an intangible.

Sure it is. It has nothing to do with how the game plays out, but could affect the game as far as getting inside Auburn's head a little. I'm not saying it WILL get inside Auburn's head, but it is clearly an intangible.

quote:

It could be. but it id an intangible and it would have to be considered in georgia's favor.

Momentum, ok I'll give you that one.

Finally.

Not by a long shot. Auburn has no chance of making the playoffs. Georgia does. You can talk yourself into believing that you will beat Georgia twice and Alabama once, and then several other conference champions will have two losses, but it simply isn't reasonable.

I tend to agree. It's hard to say definitively, though. Seems every time I expect a close game it is a blowout, and every time I expect a blowout it is a close game. And upsets happen all the time. But overall, yes. I think we will win by 10.

I kinda think the dawgs will blow them out, but agree you never can tell when two tough sec teams go head to head, and auburn being at home will make them pumped up a bit more, personally I hope the dawgs run away with a win, as this is the best uga team I've seen in a while.

So what???All those games except for one was a blowout.

And only one of those was a close game (ND) who was BY FAR the best rushing team we played and held them to 55 yards.
