This is really simple, guys. The first half Auburn's D was being embarrassed by Arky runs between the tackles. Yes, Auburn corrected almost all those mistakes in the second half, but quite frankly, no one was still watching that game, so no one really saw the Auburn D tighten down. They certainly weren't watching post - lightening delay. Basically, most people ended up switching over to other games after the first half. Certainly most national analysts did.

Doesn't matter about Week 1 perceptions when we get to play UGA. Theoreticals, for better or for worse, get thrown out in favor of reality.

Auburn's D didn't tighten down as much as we ran out of gas. The heat and lack of depth ended what was a spirited effort by the Hogs. We were mauling Auburn until the break.

It's not that hard. When you are playing a highly ranked team, the 45-21 final score is the story. When you are highly ranked and you are playing a team that hasn't won a conference game in forever, the 21-21 halftime score is the story.

Not directed at you, but based on what? Clemson was going to lose Tahj and Sammie and not miss a beat?

frick a preseason poll. No one really knows anything until October. For all we know Clemson and Arkansas could be equivalent.

2014 Projections for Arky and Clemson

Based on what? Probably Clemson having its first consecutive 10 wins season over the last two years since '88-'89 with this coaching staff. And Arky continuing to completely redefine itself with a roster not suited to the coaching staff's preferred style after winning 2 conference games over the last two seasons combined.

This thread is stupid and none of it matters but you didn't beat the Orange Bowl champions. You beat a team devoid of every offensive weapon that led to that Orange Bowl title.

This is like when AU lost Cam and the majority of it's OL and DL after 2010 and people acting like it was an accomplishment beating us in 2011. We had to score two TDs and recover an onside kick in the final minute and a half and beat Utah St. in overtime our first game after that.

Somebody in this thread (or one of the other ones exactly like it) did.

Even if you didn't specifically mention the OB you did bring up the last two years as if they had relevance to the current Clemson team.

Anyhow this whole argument is stupid after 1 week and I won't have any more to say about it.

It's at least somewhat relevant that Clemson has had double digit wins over the last two years, while Arky has combined for 7 wins (2 conference wins) over the past 2 years. Coaching, recruiting, blah, blah.

There's very little doubt in my mind that Clemson would have much more success against Arky's D than they did against ours. Arky's D looked vanilla, slow and inept.

I thought Arkansas fought and ran hard in the first half.

Saw some potential there.

Auburn looked very good.

All this nonsense will sort itself at the end of the year. No worries yet. UGA will shite the bed, and other factors.

Auburn is about family values??

The most corrupt cheating team in the entire SEC...I guess bad values are still values.
