Pretty good breakdown, seems like a lot of rust by Mathis and the offense in general was a big factor but you have to give credit to Hogs D too

If we are talking pee wee football you should give Arkansas defense credit.
If you are talking sec football, our first qb up absolutely shite himself. Bad. As well as the rest of the o while he was in there.

Arkansas played better than I thought, but UGA also shot themselves in the foot repeatedly with penalties. Not trying to take anything away from Arkansas, but we’ll know more if they’ve improved or UGA took a step back after a couple of games. Last year ND was pumped up after a close game with UGA and then we found out UGA had zero offense. Hard to determine much off a one game sample size, particularly so when it’s the first game during a covid season. I do hope Pitman does well though.

Dude y’all ran up the score in the last couple minutes of the 3rd and the 4th quarter. Before that you were questioning your religion.

Nah, we subbed in Mathis to end the game as well... The same qb that screwed up the first half...

lol Mathis was put back in at QB. That’s a mercy knee imo

Down at halftime but running up the score in the 3rd qtr?
What?
And offense needed all the reps it could after multiple 3 and outs in the 1st half.

Maybe you didn’t realize that Hogs run a base 4-2-5 defense. They rarely stacked the box against Georgia. With 4 of their second team dbs out as well as their best pass rusher depth was a major issue. Georgia’s best player was the punter who dropped 6 punts inside the Ark 10 yard line including 4 in the first quarter. It was a lack of depth and field position that eventually did in Arkansas. Along with the blocked punt and the 3 ints. Just the facts.

They stacked it on obvious run downs and the 8-9 penalties in the first half kept UGA behind the chains. Once the penalties stopped and UGA had a QB capable of completing a forward pass, the offense moves. Again, it’s difficult to draw any conclusions off one game. Maybe Mathis is that bad. Maybe the penalties hurt him to the point of being ineffective so he had a bad game. Maybe UGA’s line is that much worse than last year. Either way, UGA scored 30+ on one SEC defense last year and scored 25 in 2 quarters with a walk on at QB. We’ll find out more against Auburn.

Good point smimes. Qb play, penalties, and blocking are irrelevant.

Why do you care so much about a first half, its like your whole UF season is banked on how UGA did in one half of 60 minutes.
Its a 4 qtr game where the spread was covered like everyone thought it would.

I’m guessing you didn’t watch the game, or you didn’t comprehend what you were watching?

Swings both ways madam. If you knew anything about the game you would know that.

They had 6 guys on the los at one point.
Obviously 4-2-5 is multiple.

I thought pass blocking took longer than run blocking...

Obviously you know nothing about the game. Just another sidewalk fan.

Maybe because UGA had a huge roster advantage in the late 3rd and 4th qrt that wasn’t present in the 1st half. Arky was gassed and used up when UGA suddenly got good. When both were fresh UGA was unimpressive. Granted it’s an unrealistic sample size but that would put UGAs O firmly in the unknown quantity and the team incomplete. This weak will likely give us little to go on as Daniels likely plays packages or limited if at all.

Obviously a sidewalk fan knows more than you. It’s easy to watch the highlights of that game and see how Arkansas was playing the run. You should probably stop posting.
