The miracle here, is that he was even arrested in the first place... the details that have been released thus far don't seem to merit an arrest, rather simply questioning a suspect. Dunno if there is more that hasn't been announced, but simply making a purchase with a lone $100 bill and using a fake name on a loyalty program doesn't equate to felony forgery charges. Would have to prove that he knowingly passed on counterfeit currency...
It certainly seems odd, but hardly sufficient evidence to actually merit an arrest unless there is more that hasn't been released.
