Once they got that lead, their longest drive was 33 yards. Their last 3 were 13, 33, and 30. That means through 2.75 quarters they had 405 yards and took the foot off the pedal. FWIW

Definitely looks to be very similarly explosive offense for Bama though.

I think that’s the biggest single change they could make to give defenses a fighting chance.

There is another one too. If they went to the NFL illegal man downfield rule (1 yard instead of 3; can't release on a screen until the ball is in the air), it would really hurt a lot of the RPO teams and swing a bit of the pendulum back towards defenses.

Yea, but I'm just not sure that would be accepted at this point as so many teams have adopted and run it at this point.

Alabama's run game is probably low key the most underrated in the country. That offensive line is huge and athletic and Najee is a complete back. Haven't seen a team run the ball like that against us in 2 years. It has cemented the fact that even if we get a lot better from here on out and win out that we still will not stop that offense in Atlanta. If Bama's D can put something together they will beat Clemson. I can't picture a defense slowing down Waddle and Smith as well as that run game.

They are a better pass blocking group than run blocking, but they are really good at blocking off the pass game when the defense isn't able to load up.

For whatever reason, Missouri and Texas A&M both decided to put a bunch of dudes in the box and dare us to throw long, so our run game was bottled up a little. We definitely wore on Georgia's guys up front as the game went on and it paid off in the 4th quarter.

Bama playing terrible teams. Congrats?

Gumps will play 1 top 10 team all year in the regular season.

Alabama has two top 10 wins this season. LSU doesn’t have two wins at all.

I disagree. This Bama offense to me is identical (maybe better WR talent) to LSU's from last season. I really believe that. Clemson going to get beat by Bama. Saban retires. Dabo begs to come to Alabama.

Lol at Aggies being a top 10 team. They won’t be in the top 25 if it wouldn’t be for Covid top 25. You beat one top 10 team. LSU beat 7 in a normal year and 7 top 25 committee at the end of the year

And you beat Vanderbilt while losing to Missouri and Mississippi State.

Why are you talking?

Because op brought up 2019. Congrats on beating one top 10 team. Probably the only top 10 win for the regular season. 5 top 10 wins LSU 2019>>> 1 bama

So in the same post you

1. Calculate LSUs top ten wins based on what they were ranked at the time of the game

2. Discount one of Alabama's current top ten wins because they wont be ranked in the top ten at the end of the year

Impressive

In refernece to discussing elite offense vs elite defense.

How simple is your brain to take the discussion in this thread to some sort of 2019 LSU record vs 2020 Alabama record?

LSU is 1-2 and unranked. Congrats on being so shitty you can’t be ranked.

They both figured to live and die against yall's pass game. Kirby spoke all week about yall's run game. I don't think you guys had truly dialed up a completely balanced attack until Ole Miss. And y'all did just that against us - to almost flawless perfection. That is a very difficult offense to slow down if the run game is cranking out 5-7 yard runs. Particularly when our D is use to having teams only get 1-2 yards or less running on first and second down.

I mean Georgia made us work for 4 quarters on offense. Nothing that we did was easy. Like you said, when you have a great pass-blocking offensive line, and elite back, a very good QB who in control, and the receivers we have.........not to mention an advanced scheme.......it's just really, really hard to stop.

Georgia's the best defense in the country and we're the best offense in the country. I think all that game showed was that best on best in 2020 is advantage offense over the course of 4 quarters.
