You’re letting politics affect your view of UGA football? That’s weird to me but I guess I can understand it

you posted

"You said titles trump all that earlier, notoriously low IQ poster BLG"

I asked you to link that for me. You failed to do so because I never said that. So not only are you ignorant and uneducated but you lie.

Try to spin it all you want to because that's what you do. Badly, I would note.

Correction: You said national titles trump all that in the case of Alabama vs Michigan.

If its LSU vs Georgia or Tennessee, conference titles and all time wins are more important for some reason.

We did not accomplish that single handedly. We had help from Alabama, LSU, Florida and, rarely, Auburn and South Carolina.

Things necessary for UGA to win the national title in 1980:

3rd string Herschel Walker to come in and win the UT game they were trailing by 2 TDs

UF to author one of the greatest chokes in college football history

FSU losing a 10-9 game to unranked Miami

Jackie Sherril's Pitt team dropping a game to FSU on the road, 1 of only 2 games the Panthers allowed double digits in

FSU was far and away the best team that year, but Bowden choked against Miami.

And after that, you have to go back to WW2 and a senior class full of ROTC deferments while the rest of the conference was fighting goddamn Hitler.

I said Alabama and Michigan are on the same tier and you reply with

On the field Michigan has 962 wins, Alabama has 937

Last 2 National Titles won by
Michigan - 1997, 1948
Alabama- 2017, 2015

Michigan has 11 NC, Alabama 17

Michigan has a losing Bowl record
Alabama is tops in bowl wins

The Big Ten is easier to win (2 of the top 13 schools in wins, I am not counting Neb, and PSU as they are late comers), the SEC is the toughest conference (5 of the top 13 schools)

So pretty much the type of things that every national championship team needs most years. Got it.

None of that was his criteria.

It was simply:

All time wins
Conference titles
National titles

LINK

according to the ncaa

1. Michigan 140 962 346 36 .729 1,344
2. Ohio St.* 130 924 326 53 .729 1,303
3. Alabama* 125 916 331 43 .727 1,290

So not sure why one site lists it as 938, and another says 962

Regardless, on the field you can add another 28 victories to Alabama total

So Michigan 962, Alabama 944, and Michigan has played 15 more seasons- that still makes Alabama second in all-time wins, and it maybe only 2-3 more seasons before Alabama takes the lead in that category.

Please stop me from making you look like a fool. I do my research, evidently you do not.

Yeah, their only claim to football fame is pulling off that one upset in 1995.

That's it.

You can't underachieve as badly as LSU did this year.

When you’re an hour away from Atlanta and can only manage one national title in football post-integration (and none in 40 years), one in baseball, and one final four ever in basketball, you have the most under-achieving AD in college athletics. Absolutely no excuse for UGA with all the inherent advantages they have

LSU having a disappointing season with everything going on after a national title is a drop in the bucket compared to what UGA has failed to do over multiple generations

Or we took Florida by the neck and took the game away.

Upsets happen all the time. Shall we look up Florida's titles and pick them apart, because I am pretty sure we can do the same thing you re doing and get Florida down to no titles.

Seriously? Again, teams lose games all the time.

FSU was far and away the best team that year, but Bowden choked against Miami.

Then they were not "far and away" the best team, were they?

Cry me a river. They were being trained to fight in the war and many did just that. maybe they should have gone to war with no training. Florida fans can cry more than just about any fan base on this board.
