SEC recruiting rankings since the 2013 class (4 year cycle):
2013:
Bama
UF
LSU
OM
ATM
AU
UGA
2014:
Bama
LSU
ATM
AU
UT
UGA
2015:
Bama
UT
UGA
LSU
AU
2016:
Bama
LSU
OM
UGA
AU
Since the 2013 season who have been the best teams in the SEC? Bama, LSU, AU, OM....
see where I'm going with this? A "top 10" class is wholly irrelevant, what matters is where you stack up in house. And for the first time, UGA looks to be on the verge of finishing in the top 2 or 3 of the SEC for multiple classes in a short time, which is not the norm for us.

Hmm, surprised you showed up in this thread, especially since you've out recruited UGA the last 3 years and just got your asswhipped by the same team.

I guess you're pissed with everybody other than Nick Saban.

So we lost by 1 point to a team that whooped y'all by 11?
Looks like your 5 stars need a little more coaching, chief.

don't worry, all those 5 stars about to leave are going to be replaced by 3 stars, but somehow they'll be better next year. Next year will finally be THE year!

Ben Cleveland OL FR 6-6 341
Solomon Kindley OL FR 6-4 336 Jacksonville, Fla./Raines
Sam Madden OL RS FR 6-6 334 Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat
These are 3 Redshirt Linemen whom I'm hoping Pitman will plug in the lineup next year locked and loaded. This move will make the Dawgs contenders for the East.

Doubtful to ever play

Do any of them have any starts/experience?

They're redshirting.
I think Kindley only played in one game this year, so he's still eligible for an extra year.

O-line has to get a lot better.

Line should be greatly improved then.

No. They are Redshirt Freshmen who will have over a year learning the system.

If Pittman can somehow create a good offensive line then Georgia will take a step forward next season, but it will not be because of Chaney.

Yeah, an offseason of coaching will make no difference at all.

It will, I just don't think you can compare coaching for 2 weeks in the spring and 3 weeks in the fall with a full season of game experience.

You're heavily discounting the "Jimmies and Joes" aspect here. Pittman has a reputation for being one of the best OL coaches in the country, so despite what you think of him from this one season, there is at least evidence out there that the guy knows a LITTLE bit about what he's doing and isn't a complete and total oaf.
With that in mind, he likes a certain body type on the line that we currently don't have. Our current LG/C/RG go 285/293/300. Next year it could potentially go 350/300/335. Believe it if you want to, but simply having more beef up front will go a long way in helping pittman do what he wants as far as line play. Richt/Bobo were both pretty doggone good QB coaches/play callers, but it sure makes us look better having a Murray or a Stafford compared to a Cox or a Lambert, wouldn't you agree?

Ever consider the guys for next year that don't have any starts MIGHT be better than the guys currently playing?
I'm not saying they are, I'm just saying that the fact they are redshirting doesnt' automatically mean we're taking 2 steps back next year. If you just went by what's on paper we by all accounts should have been better suited started a 5th year Senior with years of game experience at QB over the 18 year old true freshman, but obviously that's not the case. Talent is talent.
