I'm comparing the first 4 years of Richt with the first 4 years of Kirby. How would anything else be fair?

Because you’re being disingenuous. If Richt continued to coach at the level of his first 4 seasons he wouldn’t have been fired. Richt got progressively worse while Smart has maintained a top 7 program. Richt fielded a competitive team once every 5 years while Kirby has had one 3 out of the 4 years he’s been at UGA.

A guy with a history of not being a journeyman position coach that has held the OC title while others called plays for him. Coley sucks so bad y’all went out and hired a more higher mileage version of him

Lol Chaney got you to a national title game with a true freshman QB (the same one Georgia fans have been calling shite for the past 8-9 months on this board).

He three NFL RB's and 4 NFL receivers to work with. Pittman worked wonders with the
OL in '17

Coley had 1 NFL RB and 1 freshman WR that has an NFL future and maybe a TE.

We woulda been in the same boat with fatass last year.

1. Do we really need to go over the 2016 roster holes again?

2. 5 of our top 6 pass catchers from 2017 never played for richt, including rb Swift, along with our qb and 2 OL, so give Kirby some credit.

Fromm,Swift and Ridley were on Kirby

Richt left em a shite senior class and little to work with on the OL.

Once again,Pittman gets more credit than fatass.

There was no senior class in 2016 for uga.
The only good seniors were transfers.
It was a failure of recruiting in 2013 by Richt and a failure to bring in juco or transfers to make up for the misses.

In 2019, we didn't have much of a senior class (class of 2016 Nauta, Hardman, Ridley all going pro early from Smart's first attempt to save a recruiting class with 2 months after Richt was fired). A big difference was that Smart brought in transfers for QB, TE, and WR to make up for the losses from the 2016 class.

I don't know why people on this board cant comprehend a difference between talent on the roster and upper-class talent on the roster. Joe Burrow was a different QB when he was 18, 19, and 20 years old.
Edit to add LSUs 2016 class won a national championship as seniors. Not surprising, that class was ranked #2 in the country. A great class made a great year when they were older.

Wow, Chaney got your whole damned offense drafted after showcasing their abilities in 2017, and Coley came in and had your offense looking like Muschamp’s Florida squads.

Chaney really is incredible

And Pittman would’ve never gone to Georgia if Chaney wasn’t accompanying him.
