Being that I have been a UGA fan since the early 70's, I was there before the Herschel years and have gone through some terrible times and some good times. CKS has UGA on the right track. As far as being in the elite status of Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson, we have some work to do, but we are getting there. As a logical UGA fan, I take each game one at a time and I worry about these games at LSU. I know if they play o their potential, we have a great shot at winning. Just like Auburn in 2017, we went in with all the fanfare and people talking us up as the #1 team. We got our butts kicked. UGA is my team and win or lose, they will be my team.

That Giant has been asleep for over 100 years.

At this point I'm not sure it will ever wake up

Was actually pathetic to read. You really are insecure and need validation don't you? I honestly feel bad for you.

Well you do know what happens to every giant. It never ends well for the giant. The giant in Jack and the bean stalk died. Goliath was killed by king David. Sleeping giant is a bad comparison but same results for the Georgia football team. The giant (Georgia bulldogs) played great early in last year championship game until a bigger giant (Alabama) woke up and put an end to foolishness. Similar to the animal kingdom, young male elephants run wild testing their strength until older bull elephants are brought in and calm is restored back to the reserve.

All those benefits and over nearly 40 yrs of mediocrity. It’s mind boggling isn’t it.

That's the point. I get that we lost last year. When we finally get our pieces together, our future is brighter.

Bonus) UGA AD has the balls to actually schedule H&H's with OOC opponents. Over the past 15 years, we've done so with Colorado, Oklahoma St., Arizona St., Clemson, Notre Dame, and UCLA is on the schedule for 25/26. This is in addition to our annual matchup with Georgia Tech (we can't control how good they are). Only LSU can even come close to these types of games. UF hadn't been outside of the south for OOC for how long since their neutral site game with Michigan last year? And Alabama is afraid of the threat of a hostile environment they rarely ever schedule OOC H&H's. Why is that?

And Matthew Stafford says hi:

Where exactly are these"concerts"?Philips?Cobb EMC?Fox?Chastain?GCCC?

Little Five Points, Lakewood, Downtown, Midtown, Tech Square...it only doesn't matter. The drive is NEVER as short as your proport.

You do know Atlanta is a fairly big place and all those venues are in diffetent parts of the metro area.

Yes, and you are being disingenuous to your point by implying that various suburbs within the Atlanta Metro constitute as Atlanta proper.

I would never say that you can reach New Orleans in 60 minutes from Baton Rouge just because on a good day that's how long it might take to drive to Kenner.

Nobody gives a damn about Kenner. And nobody gives a damn about Norcross or Conyers. The fact is that you're not getting inside the 285 Loop within an hour if you're traveling from Athens. Trust me, I've tried.

I actually moved up here with the erroneous belief that Atlanta was as proximal to Athens as New Orleans is to Baton Rouge. Actually, the former is a SHORTER distance apart than the latter.

However, I was pretty pissed off once I discovered that there is no continuous interstate system from Athens to Atlanta. The goddamn highways and traffic lights slow down that drive IMMENSELY.

For people in Louisiana, imagine taking Airline Hwy to New Orleans every time rather than being able to use I-10.

The appeal of proximity to a massive metro doesn't hold as much weight when traffic bogs down your travel time to the actual entertainment options.

They have concerts in Alpharetta (Verizon) as well as Sugarloaf (GCCC) as well as Lakewood and multiple points in between.

WTF are you talking about?Once again there are multiple venues to see a concert in and outside the perimeter and most in metro Atlanta will tell you there from Atlanta and dont make the distinction betwern the 2 and nor did the OP.

You MIGHT have some credability if you commuted to Atlanta every day but "going to concerts in Atlanta" means nothing.I make the trip to Athens every home game and various other times throughout the year and the OP isnt far off at all.BTW Ive lived in and around Atlanta for 35+ years.

Lots of different routes going to Athens...some are longef than others

LSU curb stomped UGA's arse...

Thanks for playing and it was a worthy attempt to "try and take over Baton Rouge"...our season ticket holders are richer for your feeble effort and tickled pink at the Bulldogs and Tiger's performance on the field.

So much for talking shite...LSU proved who was better on the field...

That is all...
